A Forced Home (Transformation RP) (Open & Accepting) Go to post 192 Barton Town Tue May 13, 2008 1:27 am
{I hope you don't mind me appearing a little late in the development, especially after a long time without posts, but this really looks like fun. Pardon, though, my RP'ing "skills" may be a little rusty.}

"Darn, I can't believe I fell for that one," a young "man" said with a chuckle.

The young man in question, eighteen-year-old Jay Reef, was referring to when he found a small collar on a small table near the door he entered the castle in. Tempted, he put it around his neck, only to be transformed into a anthropomorphic, brown, short-haired cat. He didn't even like cats, honestly, but for now he focused more on the castle itself.

"No one seems to be around. Typical. This old pile of bricks is probably home to nothing more than roaches," he said to himself.

Being cautious of his new tail, Reef opened door after door, and continuously strolled the hallways.

'I only wanted to stop and ask for directions!' He thought to himself. 'Why am I still here?'
Something in his conscious was propelling him to find... someone. Did he know this person? If he did, how did he know he or she was in this old place?

Reef grew concerned, but for some reason his body continued to advance, as if it was on autopilot. The halls grew longer, wider, and taller, until he reached a large double-door. He didn't know how, but he felt the presence of someone beyond it. Slowly, he pushed open the heavy doors to see who was welcoming him.

{Yeah, I know it's been almost a month since the last post, but this RP doesn't deserve to die without just one more character. sweatdrop }

Yes you are a fanboy, because you are defending non-games.

So basically you're saying, "MY DEFINITION OF A VIDEO GAME IS THE ONLY DEFINITION OF A VIDEO GAME; ANYONE WHO DISAGREES IS A NINTENDO FANBOY".

Just because it's targeted to all audiences doesn't mean it's not a video game. I don't know where that assumption came from, but it seems to me the only people who say such a things are "NINTENDO R T3H SUXXO0RZ" "fanboys" of another console.

If you enjoy competitive/hardcore gaming, no one's taking that right away from you, but I honestly don't think insulting a console or fans of that console openly just because of target audience makes you look any more elite or intelligent.

I honestly don't think too highly of the console war. It's nothing more than a crap-flinging, nerd-raging contest between morons supporting their favorite system and criticizing another, which isn't what I would call a "war".

Each console has its advantages and disadvantages that anyone could point out, which is why it all comes down to preference. If you don't want to pay for more than one console, you don't have to, as there's nothing wrong with not wanting to own something. However, grasping at straws to spite the "fanboys" is low, and doesn't make you seem any more intelligent or dominating as you would like to be.

I have a fanfiction.net account, but's it's more-or-less unused at the moment. I might get around to posting something some day, but as it is it's more for reviews.

Whether they made you think, cry, laugh, or just made you love the character, post your favorite in-game scripts here.

For myself:

Quote:
Bobbery was once married. He had a wife of enduring beauty named Scarlette. The two of them were madly in love, the sort of love reserved for fairy tales. Now, Bobbery was a renowned sailor, so he was away from home for long periods. Scarlette never complained, though, and always waited faithfully for Bobbery's return. And Bobbery... His eye never drifted. He loved only Scarlette, truly and deeply. So they lived, and found happiness where they could. And all was good, for a time...

...But not all good things can last. It was a particularly icy winter when it happened... Scarlette fell ill. A virus? A passing cold? No one knew, but it soon turned serious. Bobbery, at sea on a long, lonely voyage, knew nothing of his bride's suffering. By the time he returned, Scarlette had succumbed. She was gone. Bobbery, of course, blamed himself. "My loving wife perished because of me... If I were not at sea, I could have nursed her to health. I could have saved her." ...He was overcome with such thoughts. They tormented him always, haunting his sleep. He has never gone out to sea since.
