Because the dont! Look at that blob and the way it sticks to the wall and look at a bryozoa. A bryozoa is basically like a seasponge that just sits there. It could not stick to a wall. They float in the water.

Members of the Phylum bryozoa are known as "moss animals" or "moss animacules" (which is the literal translation of the Greek term βρυόζωα, "bryózoa" wink or as "sea mats". They generally prefer warm, tropical waters, but are known to occur worldwide. There are about 8,000 living species, with several times that number of fossil forms known.
I do learn something new every day on Gaia. If you google it, class there are a number of lovely pics of other members of this species.

We may be beyond that point where time-travelers from the future decided (or did not decide) to expose themselves to us, but tomorrow, I could still stumble on a way to personally travel back to yesterday.
