My Little Pony Tips From Gameloft
-Ponies: There are many ponies you can bring back to Ponyville. Ponies work in shops
to help generate Bits, but they also like to play! Make sure you play with them in the mini-games
to earn better star ratings for them.
-Shops: Ponies work in shops to create all kinds of neat items. Some shops require ponies to
have a certain star rating in order to be assigned to the shop and produce useful items and Bits.
-Harmony Stones: Harmony Stones are the pony ruins in the outskirts of Ponyville. You need to
collect Element Shards to activate them, which will make your friendship stronger and help push
the darkness back. Activate all the Harmony Stones to defeat Nightmare Moon once and for all!
-Decorations: Adding decorations will help you customize your town. There are a lot of
decorations to choose from, and you'll earn XP for placing them in your town. Try to collect them
-Quests: There are many quests that you can complete. Quests will reward you with coins and
XP, and they'll introduce you to new story elements. Make sure you complete them whenever
-Expansions: You can get more space by expanding. Just tap on the darkened land to expand.
Expanding costs Bits or Gems. Be careful. When you expand, you might run into a few
-Parasprites: Parasprites are adorable but annoying little creatures that will get in your way if
you try to build something. To drive them away from Ponyville, you'll need to use some Element
-Random Visit: You can visit a random town through the Social option. You can also add
random towns you visit to your friends list.
-Invite Friends: You can add friends through the Social option. The more friends you have, the
more Hearts you can earn! You can also get more ponies with Hearts.
-Gifts: You can send one Heart as a gift to each of your friends, and they can send you one
back in return.
-Bits: Bits are the main in-game currency. Bits can be used to buy shops, decorations and
homes for your ponies to live in. Clearing unwanted objects also costs Bits.
-Gems: Gems are the premium currency in the game. They're used to get unique decorations
and special ponies to come and live in your town. Gems will also let you perform special actions
that you can't normally do.
-Hearts: Hearts are the social currency in the game. You can earn them by interacting with your
friends. Hearts can be used to purchase special items and invite special ponies to your town.
-XP: XP stands for experience points and can be earned in various ways, such as completing
quests, playing with ponies and placing decorations. Earn enough XP and you can level up,
which unlocks more neat stuff for you to get.
-Elements of Harmony Shards: Elements of Harmony Shards, of Element Shards, are hard-to-
get pieces that you can collect throughout the game. While some are rarer than others, Element
Shards allow you to activate the Harmony Stones needed to defeat Nightmare Moon.
** DITZY DOO HIDES AROUND THE MAP IN A BROWN BOX, FIND HER AND CLICK AND
SHE'LL COME OUT AND TALK TO HER FRIENDS IN PONYVILLE FOR A BIT BEFORE
GOING OFF AND HIDING AGAIN. SHE DROPS COINS, AND OCASSIONALY GEMS. **
Tap Items To Find Free Bits
Repeatedly tap trees and bales of hay to earn free Bits. Granted, it's one Bit here and there, but
it's better than nothing.
You do not need to click all the bits and gems that fall, after a few moments they will automatically
be collected, so you can use your time clicking and doing other things!
Every 24 hours rocks and trees will grow, and you'll have to pay bits each time to remove them.
If you place all your shops close together, it saves time so you don't have to scroll to click and
Shards of Harmony can be spent at activated Harmony Stones for bits. You get random
amounts of bits (even zero bits) for every shard deposited.
if you're sick of clearing rocks and trees, you can fill up the areas with decorations so they
cannot grow. Even laying down dirt paths help. Also filling in at least one square in a 2x2 area
will prevent parasprites from spawning.
You can repeatedly buy and sell wells and bushes for cheap EXP points
If you're thinking about spending gems, you should consider waiting for a sell to occur. Sales are
typically 50% an item, so it'll cut your gem cost in half!
Tips from Ryuusag
First off, save your gems/heart gems, and never spend them.
UNTIL, you get a sale. Everything is 50% off, but from experience, even though it has a 24 hour
time limit on it, the sale ends once you close out of the game. So just save as much as you can,
and go wild when you get a sale.
Secondly, I propose we get a thread going, and just compile GL ID's on the first post; just a big
list. Heart Gems are good to have, because a lot of characters can be bought with them, and
they can also be converted into regular gems through the balloon pop game.
Also, for those who don't know already, if you turn your phone onto Airplane mode and open the
game, you can purchase all the ponies that you would have regularly had to gamble for with
gems. It also mixes some of the others up.
(i.e. Soarin originally costs something like 450 gems, and Fleetfoot can be purchased with bits,
but when Airplane mode it on, they switch; Fleetfoot requires gems, and Soarin can be
purchased with bits. Saves a good amount of gems, haha.)
Prevention of parasprite/trees/rocks by Ryuusag
As for the obstacles (rocks, trees, roots, etc.), the best, most efficient approach is to
simply LEAVE THEM BE. It does sound counterproductive, but it is actually beneficial. If you
clear the rocks on a daily basis, it could cost you upwards of 15,000-25,000 bits per day.
Spending that much per day will run your pockets dry. Instead, if you leave them alone, they will
actually help you by preventing more rocks from spawning. Furthermore, there are quests that
require you to get rid of a number of obstacles, and letting them spawn will provide you with a
plentiful amount of rocks that will only cost 200-500 bits to remove, which will complete your
quest very quickly, without draining your pocket change. Try to remove them only when you
need room, and remove them a bit of time in advance, so you don't have to wait 4 hours to build
somepony's house. The other option, is to remove them, and follow the method below directly
after (Be sure you have a HEFTY amount of bits saved up).
Now, if you want to prevent rocks from spawning COMPLETELY, then there is a method to it.
Each rock has a set area that it takes up, the largest being something like a 4x3 area. If you
place trees around your entire town, in a checkerboard pattern leaving only 1x1 squares
between trees, then the ONLY rocks that can spawn in those spaces are the 1x1 rocks, which
only cost 200-500 bits to remove. Many trees are given to you for free when you buy more land,
but cost a bit much if you purchase them directly. In this situation, you can also buy walkways,
or flags, or anything that will take up a 1x1 square. Walkways work well because you will most
likely end up repositioning them later when you have most of your buildings purchased. The
best part about this method, is that it will completely prevent any parasprites from spawning.
Parasprites will only spawn on an open 2x2 space, so if there are no open 2x2 spaces, then you
will never have to deal with the little annoyances ever again, and can save your Harmony
Shards for a few extra bits when you need it.
**HAVING TROUBLE GETING PONIES FROM BALLOON POP?

Ball toss game•Tap on “Start” at the top of the screen to begin.
•Tap on the amount you wish to wager.
•Take the ball and lift it with your finger aiming it toward the pony on the left. He will bounce the
ball back to you. Use your finger to swipe it back to him without letting it hit the ground. Do this
as many times as you can before the timer at the top left runs out.
•It takes a while to get the hang of this mini game but once you do you should improve fast.
•Tip – Wait until the white circle around the ball completely disappears before you swipe it and
be prepared to move fast.
Apple game•In this game you will find your pony under a few apple trees.
•Wager the amount you would like in the wager screen.
•Use your finger tip to guide your pony under the apples that fall.
•You want to catch the good apples and avoid the rotten ones.
•This game takes a while to get the hang of and you will need to practice.
•Collect as many apples as you can until the timer runs out.
Flying game•How to play – Touch and hold anywhere on the screen to have your pony fly
upwards and release the screen to have him fly down.
•You will need to fly through the white clouds and coins to collect them while avoiding the dark
•You have one minute to collect as many coins as possible.
Balloon Pop game
•In order to get harmony shards you can tap on the balloon shop and either pay premium
currency or play free once every twenty four hours.
•How to play – Tap on the “Free” building if it is available. If not you will see a countdown clock
on the sign. You may tap on the other two tents if you wish to purchase a turn with premium
•Once inside the tent there will be several balloons. Tap on however many it tells you to and
then you will be taken to a screen to show all you have won.
•You can pay ten more gems for an additional balloon pop if you wish but this can only be done
•As far as I know, prizes are random, including the ponies.
Here we have some really great questions asked, and the answers we have give.
Don't be shy, we're here to help, if you have a question please just quote 'Ditzy Hooves' or
'Ryuusag' and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
Q: How do I add friends?
Click the scroll on the screen (The one that allows you to
access the store, edit mode, etc.), and go to the near bottom. There should be a blue icon, saying
something along the lines of 'GL Live'.
Click on it, and let it load. If you're already logged in, it should go directly to the homepage for GL
Live. If not, sign in, and proceed to the homepage.
There should be a scrollbar on the left; scroll all the way down to 'Friends'. After that page loads,
there should be an icon on the upper right, that resembles something like a magnifying glass, or a
silhouette with a plus sign (Something that indicates, 'ADD FRIEND HERE'). Click it, type the
name you wish to search for in the text box, and then add them.
To accept a friend request, go back to the scroll bar on the left, and scroll all the way down to
'Messages'. After it loads, there are three tabs on the top. The tab on the top right should say
'Requests', and will have a red number above it if you have any friend requests. Simply click the
tab, and accept any pending requests.
Does it matter if our friends are on android or iOS?
Look back here for updates concerning the game, and also, if you encounter a
bug or glitch in the game, feel free to post it. Perhaps we can find a way around it. I'll also send
bug reports to GameLoft.
A recent article about the outrageous prices associated with the game. Link
I have an abundance of Laughter and Honesty cystals. Loyalty, is stocked, but not that much. Same for Generosity. Kindness is kind of low, and Magic, I have none. And I probably have ten-fifteen parasprites that can only be taken out by Magic. Thankfully they're in a tight space where I wouldn't have been able to build anything anyways.
How the hell do rocks grow overnight, anyway!?
I'm trying to level up my ponies so that they can gather more money in the shops, but that takes forever once they're level 3-4. Even 800 exp. seems to only fill three slots.
I don't quite like the ball one. The apples and flight one are fine though. Tell me, because I haven't gotten far enough to find out, does the game make even pegasi grow butterfly wings to fly, or do they keep their wings?
