Hi there. I play trombone, piano, and I used to play recorder. but see, with the trombone and piano, I am not very good... any hints?

Do you practice?

Well yea but everyone still says I suck... even my dad says I am pretty bad at the trombone.

Practice more.

Do you take lessons?

(Practice makes perfect isn't true. PERFECT practice makes perfect)

You can't practice perfectly until you've practiced to the point where your practice is perfect.

Don't get into a logic argument with me, boy.

I take piano lessons and I do trombone in band.

Heya! I'm stoked there's someone out there who plays the Trombone and Piano. Me to buddy wink
Anyway, pretty much like what others have been saying, just keep on practicing. Even when the situation looks grave. Over time you'll get better and feel damn proud about it. Chuckas 3nodding

it's all about how determined you are to learn.

First of all, I have a v****a.

Second, what my statement meant, since I am assuming that it went over your head, is that if you practice wrong, using bad technique, bad fingering, or just bad something-or-other, it'll hinder your attempt to play the piece you were practicing. Because you have practiced something wrong, you then have to un-learn what you have practiced, and then practice it right.
