Ocarina: 12 Hole STL (Help)

So at Comi-kaze I bought an STL Ocarina (blue plastic) since I didn't want to blow all the money I had on a beautiful ceramic Songbird Ocarina (especially since I was barely going to take it up).

But I notice when I play the three highest notes it sounds like a horrible shrieking whistle and sometimes the sound completely stops.

Has anyone else had this problems?
Does it also happen with the ceramic ocarina?
What songs can you play?

I have one ceramic 12 hole oot from STL and I find that it has the same problems. I can't say that I have this problem with any of my Songbird ocarinas (I have 8 or so). You may want to look up the issue on the ocarina network, the users on there generally can answer most questions related to playing.
