The title is audience manipulation and selection. You say rap to weed out folks who are not interested in rap. You mention nerdiness to weed out people who don't necessarily appriciate a particular KIND of rap. This is flagging down the audience that is interested in the content you are sharing, and more specifically it is information relevant to the content itself. Your race is irrelevant to your music. Microphones don't discriminate, but the audience you are actively attracting by tagging your content as such, do. Therefore, unless you specifically wish to attract listeners who appreciate your "white-ness", you would not want to tag it in your content.
