Dude, I have no idea how he does that. I can't sing on key and play a major chord at the same time. The guy is amazing.

Sweeping is very overrated.

Sweeping is just another form of playing the guitar. :/ No guitar technique is overrated, or stupid, or whatever the hell else you wanna come up with. Think otherwise, and you'll be showing you don't know or care about the guitar as much, and are proving you are not worthy of an axe, and are therefore a wannabe musician.

I really like van Halen solos but it took me a while to get his tapping thing right, plus he has a tuning method that I'm not really used to. (B7 chord, I think).

I did a Poulenc set for my junior recital (Banalites). It was pretty interesting, haha. My Barber set (Three Songs, op. 45) was also pretty difficult.

Right now, I'm working on the Shadow Song from Meyerbeer's Dinorah and it's pretty much kicking my butt. It's ridiculous.
