Okay so I did a Dont Stop Believing cover for my boyfriend. And one of my friends was trying to nicely say it was bad, and the other told me it was great. So obviously I dont want to give my boyfriend a video of me singing bad, so tell me if you like it or not. If not, fantastic I'll practice more and make another video, if its good, then good. I just need you guys to tell me what you think. Nothings too harsh, but try to be honest. THANKS!

I don't want to be mean, because you clearly care about this a great deal, but.. this is pretty bad. I really try to avoid saying that when I give critiques, but... this is just. Bad.

Can you hear how off pitch you are? You aren't even singing half of the correct notes. This key is probably a little high for you to be singing in - I'll be honest, I couldn't listen for more than the opening, so I don't know for sure how well you fared at the rest of the song, but from what I could hear, you would probably benefit from knocking the key down a step or so.

Either lose the guitar or get the vocals playing in the background so you have something to match up with. I think you're concentrating so much on playing the guitar that you're not thinking about singing - which you need to be doing. You can record the guitar separately or... I dunno. Something that doesn't involve playing and singing at the same time.

Practice some more and try again - I wouldn't give this to your boyfriend as is.
