I usually practice about an hour every day on my own.

On the violin, I'm trying to get at least 30 minutes in so that I can actually go somewhere. sweatdrop

When I'm with my band we practice anywhere from 4 to 7 hours.
When I'm by myself I play guitar for 30 to 60 minutes. |

I practice 2 to 4 hours everyday. I'm in two orechstras and jazz band and i have to have 20 songs memorized in order to play at a national conference.

I don't really "practice", but I do do scales and Hanon's for quite some time (I don't even look at the clock--I start and finish when I want to) until my fingers no longer want to play.

If playing scales and exercises isn't practising, what is it?
My practice time varies hugely, depending mainly on my mood, but also how busy I am. Sometimes it'll be obsessive and all hours of the day, sometimes I won't touch the piano for a week. My interest between piano and other instruments seems to cycle, but anything else I pick up isn't serious learning so it doesn't matter so much. At the moment, I'd say I'm playing maybe 3 hours a day. That doesn't mean I'm practising three hours a day, in the slightest. I do not count playing stuff through as practising it. |

What about the professional violinists who have performed professionaly for multiples of that figure? Are they just in the cruelest agony ever when they play? |

I usaully practice like around......4 hours a day because my drem is to become a professional cellist, but i can also play guitar and drums

Eh when I decide to. I guess two hours or more? I don't know. I think composing the song takes more time than me practicing xD.

i play tha flute for 3 hours a day for 5 days a week. {gotta practice so i can stay better than tha others!}
