So I have been titling myself a man who gives guitar lessons for beginners for a few years now. But I keep getting asked lately what qualifies someone as an intermediate player. I never know exactly how to answer. Feedback?

Genius

An intermediate player would want a guitar teacher with experience/qualifications (schooling, a successful band, etc.) as well as stronger knowledge in music theory, advanced playing techniques, guitar equipment, etc. At that point, the guitarist's ideal teacher should be able to answer any questions regarding those subjects. A beginner is just learning to play the instrument and doesn't yet need a teacher with the same credentials.
