They still look far cooler, and that's what it's all about on stage.

Well if you look at the Roland AX synth, it is a synth and a controller built into one. Its REALLY awesome, but a bit over priced.

i'd say midi controllers are the most versatile...

but it's SO easy to look sexy playing the bass or guitar...

Yeah, the theremin is the coolest instrument around because you don't even have to touch it in order to play it. I am in the process of building a little pocket sized theremin.

The second coolest instrument would have to be a tie between the upright bass and the accordion.

Please tell me how that project goes! That's actually THE coolest thing I have ever ever heard and I may just follow in your footsteps!
