Okay so I'm taking a piano class at my college and we learned about treble clefs but I think my teacher might have screwed up because I'm looking at treble clef's online and it says something totally different.

So here's my problem

So on the 5th line (very bottom line) on the staff on the treble clef should it be D OR E? ON THE LINE NOT THE SPACE BELOW IT

My teacher says it's D but I'm looking on the internet and all the pictures says it's E

Also I think I resolved this problem but I think my teacher might have screwed this up to. On the bass clef on the first line (very top line) on the staff should it be A OR B? ON THE LINE NOT THE SPACE ABOVE IT.

Because my teacher said it was B but that doesn't really make sense. Wouldn't it make more sense for it to be A?

you are right on both account, your teacher is wrong...

Your teacher doesn't know anything.

or ,aybe hi teacher thought he meant below or above the line...

my first teacher was so crap..
she taught me that the notes (chromatically) went C, C#, D, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B

I think there is a note missing there...

I eventually asked her why there was a D# on piano, but not on guitar and she was like.. what? oh..

and I'm like (being 4 years old).. "I'm SO confused"

That would be an E.

That's an A.

And your teacher really left out D#? That's kinda sad. ._.;

the bottom line on the treble cleff is definitely an E, and the bass cleff top line is an A. It sad how in college the teacher screw up big time. All my theory books say this, so the teacher's wrong.
