The bigger, the better. As a rule of thumb, if it can't play a concert-pitch D2 in its most common configuration, it's not big. (I chose D2 to exclude normal guitars, tenor trombones and baritone horns)

Mention your experiences with these instruments, if they're fun, or other things.

I play piano, bass clarinet and baritone sax. Eventually want to play octocontrabass clarinet and contrabass sax.

I wouldn't put piano under this category.

While I love the sound and the way it plays, I ******** hate playing bass. I love the deep smooth tone, love that it's like the beef instrument. I love playing jazz on it. Love hearing the vibrato. And I how it can over take but then how it's able to blend in with other instruments, but I ******** hate the damn size.

I especially hate the people that make me walk half a mile up a damn hill when I don't have a wheeled case. Ugh. That was horrible. I remember seeing these really snobby violinists laughing at me. That and having a 40 pound keyboard is kind of a pain to lug around.

I'm tiny. I have sticks for arms. I get looks all the time for carrying my bass around town and that stupid joke, "That things bigger than you!" YEAH. I KNOW.

In a way, I wouldn't either, but talking size wise, I had to move a piano once before with three other people from the practice room to a stage. It was on these wheels too but one was broken. Turns out we couldn't fit it through the door we were supposed to move it through. Holy crap, I would never do that again. Piano is a big a** instrument, hell, it's got it's own professional movers.

Dude, I've moved a piano, with one other person, from some ones garage to a flatbed, to my garage. Then a week later, me and two other people moved it into a U-haul and then back out in to some one elses garage. s**t sucked.

My guitar can hit D2 ;D

Edit: Why is my post all messed up?

I love the contrabass instuments!!
They're mezmorising.

IF YOU ASK ME IT ISN''T BIG ENOUGH, I'D LIKE TO PLAY BARI D<
Low sounds = great and soothing for me.

Does French Horn in F count?

I can get down to D nearly 2 octaves below middle C *doesn't understand numbering notes*

Thankyou so much to all the anonymous benefactors <3
I wish you a very merry Christmas!

Brass Helix is English, what what!

I have a massive instrument, it's a type flute that's made out of a fleshy substance. However, there are some made out of rubber, plastic, and in some instances metal, but I heard they're not as good.

Middle C is C4, and an octave below that is C3. An octave above is C5, etc.

I'm actually not sure the range of a guitar, I think it normally goes down to E3, but they screw up the sheet music on it normally anyway.

See it's all screwed up on sheet music, because it's perfectly mid-ranged, they put it up on the treble clef (one octave higher) so it's easier to read.

I think that it actually goes down to E2, and since I tune to D standard, I can hit D2 on mine.

I think Skumskull tunes to C standard too, so she can also hit that D2.

Not really...
...check WP for standard ranges if you don't know if it counts. If it's hard to carry, it counts too.

I feel your pain! I play bari sax and, given the lack of muscles in my arms. Or legs. Or anywhere lol, I've been told watching me lug the sax around is quite comical....
Stop laughing and help me dang it!
Also, keyboards are fun, but I LOVE playing on a grand piano. Sounds amazing... heart
