I have been recording music for about 4 years now. I have been using Garage Band and a Snowball Mic. I really want to get more into it. If anyone has any suggestions for any type of equipment I should get that would be awesome. I will be using my MacBook Pro, so keep in mind it has to be compatible with that. I also would like to be able to hook my Electric Piano up to my computer, but I am not totally sure how I do that. Thank you again for any help you can offer!

Your electric piano has audio out, right? If so, you can just hook an instrument cable up to your computer with an adapter.

I never used it, but if it's MIDI you can hook it up to garageband via USB too.

Get yourself a nice audio interface. Most that I have seen before I bought mine were compatible with both Mac and PC. To me, that was a god send since I use both. But some interfaces seem to use either firewire usb or thunderbolt. The one I have uses both except thunderbolt.
But if you already have an audio interface well, all that is needed is to start playing. If your keyboard is fairly recent, you can hook it up with a midi cable through usb. Or directly from the aux to the audio card.

Snowballs rock! I love the over and under tones they catch -- they're great for a full sound. ...At least for voice. I don't have any experience with recording instrument, with them.

GarageBand and I... we have our disagreements, but things usually turn out for the best, in the end. (Once again, youth and brute force prove superior to age and technology.)

I just record silly YT things, and informal audition tracks.
