Amp issues. Turns on but doesn't create sound.

its probly nt the amp...probly a short in the chord ur hookin it up to the guitar and the amp w/...go buy a new one...but first....turn up the volume on the guitar

Anyway, go the obvious route - buy a new cord.
If that does not work. . .
Do hybrids (are trans-tubes technically hybrid, or is trans-tube just a cool name) have tubes or do they just produce tube sound from a solid-state?
Because if they have tubes, check them all and make sure one isn't screwed up.
Re-tubing will be a b***h if one of them is blown.
But all is well that ends well, and retubes usually end well.

Is the volume turned up high enough to hear? Now remember there is a volume knob on your guitar and your amp! Try switching pick-ups! Are you sure it's not set to clean while you are trying for some jolly distortion? vice/versa!? Are there headphones hooked up from when you were playing a few nights ago? Are you so stoned out of your god damn mind that you didn't even plug the cable into one of the required inputs? ********! Maybe you have ear plugs in from that hecka-tight rave you went to last night. Can't have too much noise or the E truly takes over, am I right? Maybe in one of your heroin induced collapses you fell onto your guitar and knocked the jack out of whack. Play with it a bit. Is it possible that your LSD provider may have swapped out your cable for one of his faulty cables of a similar make. Endless possibilities. My suggestion, go back to your bedroom and finish up those lines you've been saving until you figure this problem out. Your guitar may be busted, and only your booger sugar will save you now.
