Amp issues. Turns on but doesn't create sound.

It's a Peavey Rage158 transtube. I don't even know what happened to it, my little brother was ******** around with it one day, apparently and yeah, this is the way I found it. Any ideas on what might be wrong with it?

Maybe the speaker part isn't connected to the amp part. Check for loose wires and places where there's soldering but nothing attached.

hmmm, It's more than likely caused from crappy soldering. If you're a gear nut and know what a good soldering job looks like and can put things back together well, I would say completely take apart your amp and have a look and possibly fix it yourself. Or you could take it to someone who knows what th ******** they're doing and not risk the complications of what I like to call "self help"

If it was your little brother, He probably wasn't able to ******** much up without taking the entire thing apart, Most he could have done was accidently pulled off one of the speaker cables if it's hardwired from the head to the speaker, Check the back and make sure they are both connected. If they're not hardwired, just make sure it's plugged in.

It's either the cord or the guitar. My amp had the same issue, then I realized the cord/guitar I was using was busted up.

Yeah I've already opened it up to take a look at it. No loose wires or anything like that that I could see. I Don't see any bad or broker solders either, everything looks to be in proper order. I'm not sure if it'd be my guitar or not, but it could possibly be the cord I guess

Yeah, the amp probably isn't connected to the speaker. Just plug it back in.

EDIT: If you're positive the amp is fine, then go for a new cord.

idk. I have that exact same amp and for some reason it squeels when the cord is just right. I actually called up guitar center and they were like, sounds like it's time to get a new one. If I were you I would probably try and sell it to a pawn shop, and then use that money to upgrade.
