@ chris: exactly, although we don't agree on favorite songs. ;P
Well, Swallow isn't bad. A bit light for my taste, though. domokun
@ artikye: ooh, lucky, i wish i had at least one of her actual cds. did you order it from some place off her official website or someplace else?

@ yaten-chan: enchant is really pretty, especially since three of my favorite songs are on that album.

what about misery loves company? i like that one a bit more than swallow.
I ordered it from a user/seller at Amazon.com (not from amazon directly, because their price is outrageous.)

hah, two music related things we agree on. oh yeah, what did you say her genre was, some neo-romanticism?

The copy I bought was around 19 dollars, but the prices sometimes vary greatly by seller. Amazon wanted over 40 dollars for it. confused

well, you got it for a pretty good price then. i doubt i'd pay that much for one of her albums, although maybe it only had a limited release, like her laced/unlaced one.

It's hard to say. She takes from so many genres.
i know, but you seemed to have somewhat of an idea a few days ago. and i want to add that to the first post.
Well, if you want a direct quote...

She takes a lot of influence from the neo-romantic era of composition, occurying mostly in the early 20th century, which involved a lot of use of instruments not used as much in earlier years. The harpsichord was one of these instruments, as it was forgotten as the piano surpassed it after the baroque period. She takes this one step further though, and looks for new sounds that aren't often used in today's mainstream music, which seems to inpart industrial sounds alongside her classically trained harpsichord and violin... and it works, a lot.

I suppose the technical term would be neo-neo-romanticism. But that just sounds retarded.
that works. i added that paragraph on the first page underneath the end of the biography section.
Oh nice, I never knew this was here. A much needed thread since Autumn gets a lot of new threads nowadays. ^^ You're always good at that, Sockks, haha. wink

Mmm, Misery Loves Company is absolutely wonderful.

haven't had much of an opportunity to listen to her music, seeing as how I simply can't find it (and Limewire has been unreliable lately). Anyone have any recommendations as to where I can find downloads?
