Well...Since This has been bugging me for a good year now...I Found a song on Youtube once about a year ago, and it was a real real nice rock song, and i just can't put my finger on the lyrics, all i remember is the video, but what i can say is that the lyrics had something to do about there being no-one around, or nearing the end of the world, or something like that

The part that can probably nail this for someone who has the music video is that the MV had the band playing their instruments in front of a green screen so behind them were and majority of the clips of the MV were of other videos like a flag being raised, and low resolution black and white videos of various things in history

I'm sorry this is so vauge, but the band reminds me of 30 seconds to mars or My Chemical romance if that leads you in the right direction

I saw a music video on MTV.

There was a young black woman singer. Her style kind of reminded me of Esperanza Spalding. At some point she was wearing a short black dress ( I think).

At the beginning of the music video she was sitting on a barstool at a café or something. She had a glass with a straw in it and she was singing. I also remember a young boy playing a brass instrument on the table. Horn? I really don't know anything about brass instruments.

And then there was this "audition" type of situation where some people would come in and play the bass. One of them came in with drumsticks and a boy took them away from him. They looked like hipsters to me. D:

I think the song was something like "you can't play the bass", but I can't remember the lyrics too well. "Music's not the same without bass?" I already tried to google it. Can you help me?
