You suck so freaking bad if you are going to see them!!! I wish I was in cali. No good bands ever come to Arizona. We got VNV nation (which I missed) and Depeche Mode this year. Yayyyys... stare

Ecstatic About Muffins

Their oldest albums were glam rock, and then they took a darker approach with the newer albums. The newest album does seem to be going back to the glam side of things, though.

To me they seem close enough to gothic rock / metal. (in certain albums ofcourse)

Just a thought... but just because a band has "taken a darker approach" doesn't necessarily mean they now constitute a "goth rock" label. I listen to quite a few metal bands that are "darker" that aren't and never will be "goth rock".

I also have a problem (as a metal head and goth rock lover) with the label Gothic metal. I mean you can really just group Tristania, NightWish and Within Temptation under Symphonic Metal. Most people call them Gothic metal. Type O Negative gets grouped as Gothic Metal and they are really Doom/Thrash Metal. *sighs*
Lucky! Echo and the Bunneymen are one of my favorite bands, I've seen them many times. The last time I saw them was here.

I don't consider them a "Goth Rock" band; but they certainly belong in the Post Punk, Early Goth family of bands same as The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Furs, Love and Rockets, ect.

Has anyone heard Freebass yet?

Peter Hook (from New Order obv.)
Andy Rourke (from The Smiths)
Mani (from the Stone Roses/Primal Scream)
and Gary Briggs from Haven on vocals

So yeah. Hooky started a band with 3 bass players and a singer.
