Pretty damn good. I haven't tried anything past their first two albums, though.

On that note, sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who enjoys First and Last and Always more than Floodland...

I've felt that way as well. Floodland was pretty good but the only songs I ever really listened to often were Lucretia which eventually got a bit boring and Driven Like the Snow.

First and Last had Nine While Nine, Rock & a Hard Place, No Time To Cry, and Marianne, which I think were waaaaaay better than Lucretia.

Vision Thing was tolerable, but wasn't SoM remotely at their best.

Haha, Vision Thing... that was my first Sisters album, and it was OK, but left me wondering what was so great about the band after all. "Ribbons" was my favorite on there... except it was too damn long towards the end, haha (which really bothered me, so I chopped it up about 30 seconds in Audacity to make it a little shorter ninja )

This is my list of how I think the albums should be loved biggrin





First and Last and Always was by far the best album. Nine while nine, Walk Away, Rock and A Hard Place, Marian... How can you get any better? Every song on the album is pure gold.

Some girls wander by mistake has to be number two. You have singles and rarities galore.
Floorshow has to be one of the most danceable songs on the album and is very entertaining.
Alice is the best song on the album in my opinion. You have Valentine, Body Electric, Adrenochrome and a very rough early version of Temple Of Love. What is not to adore about this album?

Vision thing is number 3. When You Don't See Me is my favorite song... by far. I'm dating a power metal head it just makes me think of the 80's when I hear it. You also have Ribbons and I was wrong. Eldritches vocals on I was wrong are probably the purest you will ever hear them. No voice box to be found.

A Slight Case of Overbombing is 4. It is by far their loudest album, but then again you have floodland to balance it out. I know it's a compilation album but it's just better than floodland to me. Temple of Love, Vision Thing, More, Dominion"/"Mother Russia, Lucretia, My Reflection, No Time To Cry, Walk Away and Body and Soul. Great album.

Floodland is five. Driven Like The Snow is my 4th favorite song by the Sisters, and the f**k me and marry me young is probably one of the most recognized song lyric from them. You also have 1959... other than that it's very quiet for my taste... and by now you have heard Lucretia, My Reflection and Temple of Love and the album is no big hoopla.
