I'm a fan of some goth rock- more of the newer stuff though.

I do like a lot from The Cruxshadows and Voltaire.

Then a lot of bands that could count as darkwave- but lean more toward medieval/folk or neoclassical (Dargaard, Helium Vola etc)

I live in Northeastern Ohio, I've heard of some clubs in Toledo, Cincinatti, and Columbus but as far as I know the Northeast is just an industrial wasteland full of hardcore, emo, metal, etc. Clevelands got a good Psychobilly scene though, I saw the Koffin Kats there with some local bands and some kids were slam-dancing (like retro rockabilly dancing, twirls and stuff but they would smash you to the ground if you got in the way, it was cool but I dunno what else to call it).

I was listening to Romeo's Distress at school last year and usually people don't notice when Rozz says it, one girl did and she glared at me and all I could do was weakly smile and plug my headphones into the computer. sweatdrop
