I was all giddy for them, cuz of their name is from Subhumans and I'm like "I LYK SUBHUMANS! User Image", but then rlyrlyrly, they sound like any other deathrock band out today, better than tragic black though. :B
Better than Joy Disaster?

Not even close. ninja

I think its really depressing that the sound is becoming generic, back in the 80's you almost never had two similar sounding deathrock bands that were well known, now good bands that stick out are few and far between. Its kind of like what happened to punk (more notably hardcore though thats an innapropriate discussion).
i really only listen to the cure... that's about it. the damned are good also.
A Kiss Goodbye
I wouldn't say better than Joy Disaster. I rather like them. =P

Same here. I just asked because I wondered if the band she was mentioning could be - in any way - comparable to JD.

I've noticed how music in general is becomming like that.

Everything now-a-days has to have a hook to it. rolleyes

Without it, people would think an artist in general would be incappable of selling albums.

But who knows, maybe they're just doing it for money, which would be really sad if it's only just for that case.

There will always be music without hooks.
So I recently discovered this ol' post-punk group; having quite the shitload of a hard time finding their stuff though! D:
But anyway, anyone else here heard of Crime and the City Solution? Apparently had former members of Birthday Party, and compared to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, though in some ways, they remind me of Echo & the Bunnymen too.

As the vocals began I couldn't help but think "IAN!!??", but as the song played on I could tell the difference though the guy sounds like Nick and Ian had a kid, the music itself does remind me of Echo though. Not bad.

ninja They're also featured in Wings Of Desire, along with NCATBS.
Arg, this is frustrating. Are there anymore Darkwave bands that people know of that arn't listed on the front page?
