I'm pretty sure Vanessa Carlton is the only Pop artist of her type that I listen to. All the others are either Pop/Rock or just regular electronic Pop.

Someday, I may get around to listening to them. I should be fair about it, rather than just judging by that one record.

I reiterate: Pop is a meh status genre. Because it lacks innovative musicianship and techniques, its pretty boring to me. I may listen to it when done really well, I.e Micheal Jackson, Justin Timberlake, but in general, nah. Basically its either R&B sped up or soft rock without live instruments.

By UMR's standards, this guy falls into overall musical greatness status, which is a sentiment I just can't co-sign.
