Anyone going to any of the BCAU shows?

Moi!! mrgreen I'm so impatient. gonk I want to go and I want to go NOW.

Heroine is really growing on me. Which makes me happy, seeing how unsatisfied I was when it first came out.

And yeah...dude. Don't talk about their looks. Nobody cares how "hott" they are. (By the way, hot is spelled with ONE t. Adding another does not make it more dramatic. It just makes it look like you can't spell. Sorry.) If you want to talk about that, go to the Celebrities subforum. This is a MUSIC thread, where we talk about the MUSIC they make. Not their appearances...


So yeah. Music. I'm still amused at the variety of bands on the BCAU Tour. October Fall, a pure powerpop band...From First To Last, post-hardcore (and seriously...what a transition there!! eek rofl )...Hawthorne Heights...uh...not sure what genre they are...then there's AAR and Fall Out Boy who are somewhere between powerpop and pop-rock. I just think it's an interesting combination.

Well, then there's The Hush Sound for the first half of the tour. They're like...even poppier than October Fall IF I recall correctly. And they're like Straylight Run and have a male AND a female vocalist. Again...if I recall correctly. I remembered them being good, though. (I saw them in concert last year.)

fob use to be good well some of there old stuff now there just sell outs just like green day there old stuff is better and if u see fob live the lead singer cant sing! but green gives a good live show! heart

gonk Those are my two favorite bands there! Neither of them have sold out. I could go on a LOOOOONG DETAILED explanation, but as this isn't the Green Day thread, nor the Fall Out Boy thread, I won't.

And Patrick can sing live just fine. neutral I've seen them live before, and many many times on TV. They're getting better every time I see them on TV. I've heard NOTHING but good things about any recent performances. Even from a friend who HATES live stuff 'cause it always sounds like s**t to her. neutral


Teromdoas - They don't suck. You don't like them. Learn the difference. stare Seriously. God damn. That is the one thing that pisses me off more than just about anything in the world. (Besides like...world hunger, homelessness, murders, etc. I mean in regular life.) You're disrespecting both the artists and any of their fans there. And they obviously have SOME talent. You just don't like, nor appreciate their music. And that's fine, but you don't have to talk s**t about them.

Even if I agreed with you and hated them all, just say they don't appeal to you. You don't like them. They're not your kind of music, or at VERY least, you think there are better bands in the genre. You don't have to say they suck. neutral

I don't think From First To Last is any more talented than any of the other bands there. neutral Sure, they're my third favorite band, and most of the other bands on there aren't anywhere close to that...but I don't think they're any more or any less talented. They've all worked hard to get where they are today. Some people will like their music, other people won't. That's life. *shrug*

And I agree that Patrick used to not be so great live, but that was mostly out of nerves. He's not comfortable being famous, and being the frontman of the band, which is why he's very grateful for Pete. [/FOBdiscussion]

But yeah...I'm really sorry about that. It's just been building up for a while now. Nothing against you, at all.

Anyhoo, to get a bit back more on topic...what's everyone here's favorite FFTL song? It's a really hard choice for me, but I THINK I'd have to say "Secrets Don't Make Friends." I'm not even sure what it is about that song. I guess it's how it's loud and hard, then soft...how there's a nice mix of singing and screaming...and I like the lyrics, too. I love the instrumentals...it's hard to describe why I like it the best... *shrug* I dunno.

The only reasons i dont want to go are because:
- I dont like 4/5 bands/possible bands playing
- Its 35$ for only 7 songs
- Its arena
- Mizkue would want to stay for FOB who would be the final act, which means i would have to stay through 3 bands i dont like for a good 2 hours
