Pretty much what the title says. Relatively popular bands only. The first obvious choice are The Beatles. I don't think anyone's gonna say "HAHAHAH he listens to Beatles!". My former music teacher would be proud of me anyways, lol. I don't think you can get away with anything pop punk, or pop rock without some smartass commenting on it. And yes, music is subjective, I keep that in mind. But here, music to boost rep (especially on the Internet) can only be a plus.

I don't wanna write any novels, so that's all. Post what comes to mind. Bonus points for something from the 90's or 00's.

Nothing wrong with the Beatles.

I’d go with some of the classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin if I didn’t know what to listen to. If you’re looking for something from the 90’s or 00’s, try Muse.

I don't know half of these bands. I doubt I'd even get an opinion because no average guy would know some of these guys. I have no problem listening to something fairly unknown, but I was more thinking of popular bands (millions of views on YouTube - kind of popular) that don't get shat on. If in some case these bands are extremely famous, I guess I have to apologize for my ignorance.

HAHAHAH he listens to Beatles!

Other than some songs off their 2008 album, 'So, Who's Paranoid?', The Damned rarely has disappointed me. Some lackluster or uninspired efforts here and there, but nothing ever completely awful, from my ears.

Love their 'Friday The 13th' EP, Billy Bad Breaks, Disco Man, Limit Club, Citadel....

Broadcast, though, is the only band I felt were consistently brilliant across their 15 year history, only getting better with each passing album.

'Berberian Sound Studio OST', their latest release, is a wonderful trip.

Let's play the game: "Try to ask a random person on the street about Slayer and not hear the words 'Satan', 'Devil', 'Death', or 'Evil".

(I'm just saying, doesn't mean they don't make great music.)
