Wow, that was a lot of information I took in!
smile Most of the links on the first page except for the ecstatic dance one I think are broken. Is Silver Ravenwolf what you guys call a fluffy bunny? I have seen her Teen Witch kits on Llewellyn and have heard that she is just trying to get rich and is not a Wiccan. And what about Starhawk? Is she a fluffy bunny too?
This thread is very informative, thank you Triste!

If there are any questions you have because of the broken links, just ask. Although Triste isn't about anymore, there are plenty of people who keep an eye on this thread and are able and willing to answer your questions.
Personally, I think $iver Ravingfluff is a fluffy of sorts yes. Different people have different understandings and uses of the term. Here in M&R it would most often be used in connection with people who are willfully ignorant. That is, people who, despite having the truth stated and demonstrated, refuse to accept it. A perfect example of this would be people who are convinced that Wicca is ye Olde ancient religion of witches who went underground because of the burning thymes. The pseudo history often perpetuated by some neo-pagans is patently untrue and false. So if the truth of the matter is properly explained to someone yet they still think Wiccans are descendents of some paleolithic witches, they might be called a fluffy. They might also be called many other things, but here, it's a good example of fluffys.
Some people find keeping the stuff they already have of hers is a good thing. Some people want rid of it. I've never owned any of her books or things, so I can't say what I'd do. I only read one whole and a number of parts of her books from bookshops and libraries.
Starhawk no longer uses the term Wicca in reference to the reclaiming tradition of witchcraft. Neither do most Feri witches of whatever branch. Some in fact, take great offence at being lumped into a category or term that they feel does not reflect the diverse and unique approach of their tradition of Witchcraft.
Personally, Starhawks 'Spiral Dance' was one of the first books I ever read on Witchcraft. I always found the Feri pentagram exercises to be extremely helpful. The display and examples of poetic licence are often liberating for anyone trying to understand and hone a personal ecclectic practice.
Basically, depending on your approach to reading materials, you can find good and bad in most of them. For me personally, $ilver Ravingfluff has more bad than good and Starhawk has more good than bad. But that's just me.
If you can, read through or at least scan through the entire thread. There are some very interesting conversations that have gone on over the years and you'll find links and recconmendations for reading throughout too.
Like I said, if you have questions, ask.
