Jedi.

After thinking long about the subject, I realized my whole "I believe that there's probably something out there somewhere, but not necessarily an old man in the sky" ultimately just equated to the Force. So I thought, "Why the hell not? All religions are pretty ridiculous, but that's part of the fun."

I've since matured a bit on the subject of... all that... but I still feel like this best suits my way of understanding how the Universe works.

I mean, it's either that or Zen Buddhism. But this way I get a lightsaber and a mythology that includes magic and a little green man.

Judaism, because it makes sense to me, I tried being a Christian because my family converted, but I can't force myself to believe that G-d came to earth as Jesus, and I worship only HaShem, not a man 3nodding
Okay. I can't believe that God came to earth as Jesus and he have a son. Why would God who's so powerful need a son?

Exactly, and how did the G-d of Abraham, a G-d who is ONE being split into three with the birth of Jesus. It just doesn't make sense to me, but I can't change their minds, to each his own and all that jazz wink

wasn't the jedi's religion inspired by buddhism? apart from the magic and the little green man?

Which is why that's my second option, and I still read plenty to do with it. And regular Buddhism and Taosim, but Zen is basically Buddhism + Taoism anyway...

Eh, close enough.
I'm currently in a strange place right now. I identify myself as a nondenominational Christian, but have over the last few years attending Quaker services, and follow Quaker principals, yet don't identify myself as such.
I'm an agnostic atheist because i feel that religion is pure bunk, and God cannot be proven nor disproven. I believe that the true higher power is just science, and even science has many mysteries and stuff.
Hellenic Polytheist, because of my own personal experiences and searching.

(now influences? That's been coming from Quakers and Sufi poetry lately. Simplicity and opening to the heart of god...)

I grew up with the teachings of Christianity (Church of Christ to be specific), but I have since left the church. My personal belief now is that the Bible (as well as all other religious texts) were written by human hands, not the hands of God; thus, they cannot be truly 100% God's words. Even if God told them what to write, the humans who wrote down the words could have manipulated them or added on to them to fulfill their own agendas.

I do, however, believe that there is a possibility that a God (or higher power/divine force) may exist. Why? Because I've seen and heard of many mysterious things happening. Also, I think I may have actually talked to God in a dream. Of course, it could just have been a dream, but then again maybe I really did talk to God. I also occasionally get visions (several of which came true) as well as gut feelings. There are times where ideas randomly pop into my head from seemingly nowhere, and I wonder if maybe God implanted them in my mind. Of course, I still have doubts as to whether God really exist or if it's just in my head. After all, there is no solid proof that God exists (but there is no proof that he doesn't exist, either). There is also the possibility that God may not be entirely seintient. Maybe God is actually the universe itself. Maybe the 'Big Bang' was the birth of God. There are so many possibilties.

As for Jesus being the savior, I'm on the fence. I have reasons to believe he is the savior, but I also have my doubts. I suppose I could ask God himself. He may not nessisarly answer, but it can't hurt to ask. In my personal opinion, it is better to ask God directly, than to blindly believe in a book written by human hands.

Mahayana Buddhist with a leaning toward Zen. There's a Zen sangha near where I live, but I've yet to meet with them because they meet on the days I usually work. User Image

Here's a fun little quiz to see how close your beliefs match the religion your in:
