ok against danger of being flamed I will say this.

Asatru is hitlers beliefs taken away the insane notions about germanys specific problems and the name calling and such which leaves a tiny sliver about the origans of the "white race" while I studied it and the people that believed in it I was scared by some of catch phrases such as white race and following ancestrial foot steps I found it to be much different then I expected they are very tolorant of other races and peoples and do not display cult like behavior. I am impressed about how they have taken the roots of something used to be so evil and shattered the remains of its previous usage.

I'd wager that this is a big overgeneralization. The individual I know who is Asatru is a Loki devotee and highly liberal. Her attitudes don't fall in line. I could ask her, when I see her again, though her reply may be a bit ... pointed.

I say what I do in a positive light. I cite this from a group of followers I investigated in my area ( Baltimore, MD ) me and you are just clashing heads arent we wink

mmm? Not really clashing heads here. I don't know enough of Asatru to clash heads. My friend might say a thing or two, but I was just saying it might be a generalization. That's all. ^^;

My religion would be that of theistic Satanism, most oftenly called Traditional Satanism. With this comes many questions, I suppose. To begin, I shall say that my beliefs, for the most part, come from the texts that I do believe are inspired, or inspired to some extent by the beings in which I believe in. Those being, the Al-Jilwah, The Diabolicon, Liber Revealing, and yes, I do believe the Satanic Bible to me an inspired text. Though of course, I greatly disagree with the Church of Satan for its atheistic approach towards Satan. For the most part, I do go with Christian mythology for simplicity's sake, but I do believe in pre-Christian Satan figures, such as Set. Also, the "evil" god from Zorastrianism. I do not seek to explain my beliefs, so don't bother asking. I've no need to explain myself, lest someone were willing to learn and follow a path similar to my own. But, if you wish to look into what I have mentioned above, by all means do so. Dark blessings.

What do you call 100 dead LaVeyans at the bottom of the ocean? A good start.

I'm not entirely sure what you're saying, sir. However, I must inform you that 1) Asatru is not based upon Hitler's beliefs and 2) you really need to buy yourself a history book if you think so.

Some Asatru come to the religion because they want to follow the gods their ancestors followed, which is comparable to African Americans looking to African tribal gods or, if you want to get technical, an person who is ethnically Jewish deciding to be religiously Jewish. Asatru, like Judaism, gets the occasional crazy b*****d who says that if you aren't descended from someone who worshipped the Norse gods, you can't be Asatru, as some hold Judaism to only be open to those who are ethnically Jewish (which is to say that their mother's line is ethnically Jewish. Those people who say that it should be so restricted are viewed, rightly, as bigots, and are not supported by the majority of Asatru.

If you initially learned about Asatru from people attempting to rediscover their ancestral gods, I can understand your caution. However, to judge that an entire group is based on the precepts of Hitlers beliefs in racial supremacy is at least an uninformed opinion, if highly offensive.

I've basically looked at verios religions, kept what made sence to me and really have no affiliation to any one form of worship. My beliefs are basically founded on the idea that everything must have a sole to exist, and therefore should be treated with respect. Think about it, has something ever not worked one minute (computers are a usual case) and after talking to it (or cussing at it, whatever you do) it works?

a very sharp, precise, clear mind;
not a cunning mind, but a mind that is
capable of looking without any distortion,
a mind innocent and vulnerable.

Unfortunate. I had hoped for more explanation. How did you come to these beliefs so young?

And the battle for dominance continues. Neo-Paganism is not out of the race yet.

mine would be a fairly elemental god of balance, pretty much. i've yet to hear of anyone else believing in this, but i came to this idea on my own, so unsurprising i guess.

from what i gather, they have two gods, god and goddess...which may be fairly close, but i'm talking no personality here. really elemental, i suppose. and mainly about balance. though from what little i do know of wicca, it's kinda close i suppose =)
