stare You really are stupid aren't you.
Even if what you are saying is true WHICH IT IS NOT Hitler had no right to take the life of 6 million Jews and over 7 million of other lives(Yes their were others killed in the concentration camps besides the Jews) of Homosexuals, the Disabled, and Gypsies. you can't go blabbing off to me that it was the handicapped, gypsies and homosexuals fault the economy was a total wreck. He had no write to do that. Hitler thought they were better than anyone else because he remembered Germany's glory days and he took it out on the Jews cuz they had the money.

To borrow the old Usenet adage: YHBT. YHL. HAND. And by the way, my entire family was killed in the Holocaust.

And if I haven't responded to the actual topic already, I was raised with Quakerism and Catholicism, but at this point in my life I find myself moderately atheist.

Well, it seems that Christianity holds the lead currently. this is a change from the previous thread. Are the pagans and athiest just going to stand by and allow this?

you forgot MORMONS!!!

You forgot to read the first post. I addressed it. I have only 10 options and Mormons represent a small percentage of the world population AND are debated on whether or not they are Christian. Neo-Paganism and Spiritism are clearly different religions. I may not feel mormonism is Christian personally, but I specified that I would allow people to judge that themselves.

...read before posting. It keeps you from sounding like a dumbass.

Psst... you vote under "Christianity". wink

It'd be no fair letting Christian denominations and sects fill up a poll with only limited spaces.

ETA - Oops! karashebi beat me to it. Sorry for the repetition.

Science is not about building a body of known "facts." It is a method for asking awkward questions and subjecting them to a reality-check, thus avoiding the human tendency to believe whatever makes us feel good.

Oh poo. Still the only Hindu on the entire ED, I see...

Well, I wouldn't be surprised that if it gets stickied long enough or stays up long enough you might find two or three more. Considering how many Hindu there are worldwide, I'm slightly surprised at how few frequent here.

I think it's because a lot of Indians are homophobic conservative and altogether stupid... And non-Indian Hindus- well, never met any.

They're rare, though not nearly as rare as the modern proponents of the old Nordic religion. Starts with an A, but I can never remember what it is. I have a friend who's one too.

Asatru yes ... Asatru if I remember

Thank you. I'd ask her, but she's not on. I appreciate that. Asatru probably qualifies as either neo-paganism or Other. Most likely, as it is quite distinct in some regards, Other is more appropriate.

ok against danger of being flamed I will say this.

Asatru is hitlers beliefs taken away the insane notions about germanys specific problems and the name calling and such which leaves a tiny sliver about the origans of the "white race" while I studied it and the people that believed in it I was scared by some of catch phrases such as white race and following ancestrial foot steps I found it to be much different then I expected they are very tolorant of other races and peoples and do not display cult like behavior. I am impressed about how they have taken the roots of something used to be so evil and shattered the remains of its previous usage.

I'd wager that this is a big overgeneralization. The individual I know who is Asatru is a Loki devotee and highly liberal. Her attitudes don't fall in line. I could ask her, when I see her again, though her reply may be a bit ... pointed.
