God gave me what I've always wanted: Opposable toes, retractable claws, a lizard tail, giant bat wings, and a second 24-inch p***s.

And you were claiming to be god, or a god at least...

And you went and turned yourself into a tf freak! How stoopid are you!

And these are good things why?
I hope that wasn't linear either 'cause otherwise theres quite a bit of regression going on!

What has God done for you...that you could not do for yourself?

Created the heavens and the earth; sacrificed His only son.

I guess it doesn't matter that Scientists have proven the Big Bang Theory and it really wasn't a being in the sky that poofed it into existence out of nothing?

Dr. John C. Mather won the Nobel Prize for it.

http://www.nasa.gov/vision/universe/starsgalaxies/nobel_prize_mather.html

Two things.

Who invented the Big Bang Theory?

Science has really proven and unfalsifiable deity wrong?

Edit: Damn, im slow on asking question number one.

I don't know what you are fighting over... the Church herself accepts the "Big Bang" theory.
It follows Big Bang and Bible are compatible, doesn't it?

the late Pope Pius II - 1951AD
(http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Pius12/P12EXIST.HTM)
it [= "modern scientific knowledge"] perceives and recognizes the work of creative omnipotence, whose power, set in motion by the mighty "Fiat" pronounced billions of years ago by the Creating Spirit, spread out over the universe, calling into existence with a gesture of generous love matter bursting with energy. In fact, it would seem that present-day science, with one sweeping step back across millions of centuries, has succeeded in bearing witness to that primordial "Fiat lux" uttered at the moment when, along with matter, there burst forth from nothing a sea of light and radiation, while the particles of chemical elements split and formed into millions of galaxies.

Pope Benedict XVI - 2004AD
(url=http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/cti_documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20040723_communion-stewardship_en.html)
According to the widely accepted scientific account, the universe erupted 15 billion years ago in an explosion called the “Big Bang” and has been expanding and cooling ever since.

nope not linear. Whether these things are good is a subjective issue. I sure think they are.

Yes, liveing is very subjective. I am sure some people would rather die than still be alive.

I realized that I don't believe in only ONE god, and in fact believe that there are multitude of entities that can be called gods. I also believe some of these are worthy of worship. Some of them I don't feel are worthy, but other people do. And I'm not going to fault them their choice in godform. I also won't blame anyone who chooses not to worship a godform.

Just curious; are you a Chaote/chaos magician?

I don't define myself that way, but if you could link me to a resource that defines those well, I'll let you know if it matches my belief structure.

This is a not-terrible jumping off point.
SpiralNature's got some fairly good and sometimes in depth articles on the subject as well.

Though that is coming from the opinion of someone who, while interested in chaos magic in theory, isn't a practitioner of it.
At the moment.

*sighs* Why did you walk away? Just because you thought you could do it all yourself?

I cannot speak for the OP but, I walked away because I felt there was absolutely no reason to stay and every reason to try something new.

Aftis Sinfel
God gave me life, I wasn't supposed to be alive, but I am. I've come close to death three times and each time was saved and I know God put those people there to save me, it was no coincidence.

Proof please.

Aftis Sinfel
God changes man, because whatever arguement I can use to prove you wrong will do nothing to change you.

Because you have no argument to change me. If you do, please present it. If not, stop making excuses and think for a second that maybe, just maybe, you could be wrong. But you're far too busy convincing yourself you're right all the time.

Aftis Sinfel
But if I pray for you and others do too, then God will soften the heart you turned to stone and you will find Him again.

Praying for my conversion is about as effective as putting scotch tape on a bullet wound the size of Texas.

Aftis Sinfel
The Golden Rule came from the Bible.

No it didn't. Try again.

It's a guideline for how to live down here.

Hate homosexuals and non-believers, stone adulterers, and refrain from eating shellfish are some GREAT guidelines.

Aftis Sinfel
But we must also have a relationship with God to be fully whole.

Define "God", "relationship with God", and "fully whole" in that order and you might have an argument.

Aftis Sinfel
I'm weak, sinful, and full of wrong desires, but God keeps me from harm.

You forgot "stupid" and "unwilling to utilize the most valuable resource I have."

The second assertion doesn't count. In a sacrifice, something is lost without the expectation of it being returned later.

It seems the entire bunch of people agreeing with this thread do so with one common premise: Humans can't do anything for themselves at all. What a load of tripe.
