Symos
As much as I hate what the cult does, I do not think these attacks are the right way to deal with it. people need to be educated as to scientology's activities. They need to know about fair game, Lisa Mcpherson, Elli Perkins andoperation snow white.

However the actions of Anon make the critics look as bad as the cult. Especially when they are script kids really not interested in justice, just a victim that makes them look good.

I'm afraid I have to agree. I despise the pseudoscience, scamming, legalistic bullying, censorship, and gross violations of human rights on the part of the CoS. However, I can't really condone this sort of action. Not only is it illegal and likewise a violation of the CoS's rights just as the CoS has violated the rights of others, it will also be used to justify the whole "Suppressive Persons" thing within the cult and build up a more public case for their persecution complex.
It's just internet vigilantism.
Robo Satan
Hahaha Scientology.
lulz

... and Symos, do not attempt to assume what Anonymous' reasons are. They have stated their reasons: that Scientology is a crime against humanity.

To assume that Anonymous is mostly children is just as arrogant and stupid as assuming Ron Paul's fan base is small and limited only to teenagers. (You know, what some people have done to explain the massive internet support for Ron Paul.)
Forget this crap.

The only way possible to have an issue with what Anonymous is doing is to believe that Scientology is actually a religion.

Go read their books, go read their lectures, and check out their "beliefs". Anyone under OT III doesn't know; anyone in the RTC doesn't believe it.

It's a scam, pure and simple. This isn't a religion at all.

Anonymous is justified in this - Any organization with the power to brainwash any number of civillians is dangerous. More so if they have the money to fight and silence their critics.

Or to maintain that even people with whom we disagree have a right to voice their opinions and operate websites without unappointed cowboys getting to decide they aren't allowed.
I fully agree that Scientology's practices are dangerous, deceptive, abusive and wrong. But this isn't the right way to go about shutting them up. In fact it can be counter-productive.
scientology was created by a criminal. can i say anything more?
For those who question Anon's methods, they realize that ddos attacks are pointless. They know that spamming the site will not work. So they are moving into another phase, which is the information war, which they can win.

Support Anon. Write a letter to your editor.
Anonymous is a mixed blessing. They defeated Hal Turner, and I have no doubt Anonymous will not grow bored with Scientology and most likely be fairly successful, but at the same time, I know Anonymous would attack Gaiaonline without hesitation, and have attack someone's personal Zelda Forums, and several other somewhat innocent people(Are you Rex enough for Tech support?) , or at least mildly undeserving of what happened to them.

I predict that like many of the vigilances gangs in the Wild West, Anonymous will do something they shouldn't have done, and law enforcement to nail them on all the other things they've done over the years, including what most people would consider good things.
one annoying thing about scientology?
celebrities like tom cruise are using their popularity to influence people into it.

Just remember, kids: The right to free speech can't be taken from you. If you stoop to the level of Scienos and try to remove it, you lose your own rights to it.

Same reason we don't give criminals guns.

Is that supposed to be humorously contradictory? Because it sure doesn't look like it was meant to actually address my concerns and issues with this development.

Anonymous attacks whoever they see fit. If one annoys or threatens Anonymous, Anonymous will take corresponding action. Anonymous is neutral.

And 99/100 victims are deserving. The 100th one? Done for the lulz.

I don't see what's so wrong with Scientology if people want to believe a 60s science fiction writer, then so be it.

Allow me to clarify. The reason Anonymous is currently at war with Scientology is because it tried to limit TC's freedom of speech. As his video leaked onto the tubes they had it removed for retarded reasons. This ignited the flame that caused Anonymous to have to take action.

This flame is burning passionately. I myself am an ex/b/tard and /i/nsurgent but rejoined for this noble cause. Scientology is a scam, a ripoff, and it's followers are suffering under its reign.
L. Ron Hubbard was arrested and convicted for taxfraud and embezzlement. He stole 200 million dollars from his "church".

Sounds less like Anonymous is neutral than that Anonymous is a brat.

That too. Anonymous fends for their own; They are, in fact, human, contrary to what Scienos might claim.

They are in fact, HACKERS ON STEROIDS!
