The Power Of Religion To Strip A Crime Committed Under Religious Law From It's Criminality.

(Why? Because we were stupid enough to agree that it had any power regarding laws)

Has anyone but me noticed this?

For Example, in the bible it says "Thou Shalt Not Commit Murder" as one of the ten commandments. Upon further inspection to what all is to be defined as murder you find that the word murder basically means "The Unlawful Killing Of Someone From Your Own Species". If something is truly to be deemed as unlawful from all angles then even religions followed by that society would have to agree, therefore religions brew their own twisted form of capital punishment.

Okay, also, Jesus killed fish in the bible for food for others, (Also, Jesus is God, see how God Killed an Animal for Adam and Eve to Eat In Genesis) therefore we already know that those who claim that the proper translation is simply "Thou Shalt Not Kill" is completely out of ignorance.

Also in the bible, it preaches against kidnapping people at one point, but then promotes taking people as slaves (During the pillaging of villages and such) because "The Almighty god" Has commanded it. (Think, is it kidnapping when a policeman takes someone to jail?)

Therefore in short, this here is the brewing point for religious radicalism and we simply need to be more careful of what we allow into society to be called a life guidebook. If something is referred to as a life guidebook, then inevitably, it will be taken any way that is possible.

Also, since people are so attached to their mind-frame of "Too Long Didn't read", such "life Guidebooks" will continue to hold power as the number of people who actually know what all is supported within the text, will be quite short on supply.

Also, with the tolerance promotion, that is simply wrong and dangerous. You shouldn't stand for toleration. If you Tolerate something ignorance is often implied. Lack of effort to change something for the better is equal to supporting the poor state that it is in. If you know not of the details of a societal form of influence, DON'T TOLERATE IT!!! be indifferent to it until you are no longer ignorant of it, and only then should you choose how you feel about it (Accepting of it, or apposing of it).
It seems that people are speechless to what this post says, this here is a bummer as I'm looking forward to feedback.
Yeah, I'm speechless anyway.

The Bible's full of contradictions. Plus 'Thou shalt not kill' tends to apply to other Christians, rather than the human race as a whole, at least in the earliest years. There was a documentary on the History Channel a while ago on how Moses was actually almost like a warlord, I'll try and find it...

plants are also alive. so when you eat a carrot, you are killing a plant.

it's obviously referring to the killing of humans. pretty much every culture, except for the jains and some buddhists, kill animals for food.

that "thou shall not kill" appears in the bible long before the birth of Christ. therefore it does not mean other Christians. and it's in a part of the Bible that Jews also use, and Jews are not Christians.

Since this was mentioned in LD, I'll repeat what I said here.

  • "Thou shalt not murder." (LXX; Exod. 20:15)
  • "You shall not be murderers. (TgPsJon)
  • "Thou shalt not kill life." (TgOnk)
  • "Thou shalt not kill." (KJV)
  • "You shall not murder." (NKJV)
  • "Thou dost not murder." (YLT)
  • "Thou shalt not kill." (ASV)
  • "Do not kill." Footnote: Or murder (CEB)
  • "Do not murder." (CEV)
  • "Do not commit murder." (GNT)
  • "You shall not murder." (NLT)
  • "You shall not murder." (NIV)
  • "You shall not murder." (TNIV)
  • "You shall not murder." (ESV)
  • "You shall not murder" (NJPS)

The Hebrew word ratsach can be translated "murder" or "kill", or a variety of other words. There's already a Hebrew word for "kill", and that word is nakah.

If it wasn't for Eve and her eating that apple, the apples might have been spared, along with the rest of the world!

My creation mythos says it was a good thing that the "apple" got eaten. The world was fallen from the start. The eating of the "apple" was the starting process for salvation.
