Same with other wars in the north african and middle east!!!! Same with other places! World War 2 was ALL ABOUT RELIGION! Other minorities, such as homosexuals and cripples, were also killed. And the camps weren't the sole reason. Stalin killed more people, and he supported atheism (because he'd rather have people worship him than God). Japan didn't have any problem with religion, just fascism. The US ended up bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Germany passed through neutral Belgium to get to France, causing Britain to attack in their defense. Why would Germany attack France because of religion? Hint: They didn't. A couple of points 1) Japan -They'd been persecuting Christians for centuries and Shinto was used a marketing tool for the governments nationalist agenda. You'd be over extending yourself to say they didnt have a problem with relgion. 2) Great Britain and France gave Germany an ultimatum, demanding they withdraw from Poland. Both then declared war when these demands were not met by the determined time. Thanks, I've just been going off of memory. But as far as I know, the problem with religion did not contribute to WWII. |

Many people assume that I'm an atheist because I don't believe in an old bearded dude. I believe that there is more to life and the universe than chemical reactions. I believe in an unconscious higher power which is an energy of creation and life. My beliefs are very close to those of the raidoka in Japan, who are followers of a branch of shinto who believe in life as an energy that is connected to everything.

That and many other things the Treaty did. |

Therefor god should not even have showed himself... But that in itself was not a war. Again, though, it was a person. Hitler believed he was following God's word. People spreading peace and donating to animal shelters sometimes also believe they're doing God's work. There's both good and bad to consider. And, again, Stalin. Same time period, more people killed, no religious motivation there (he was an atheist). According to wiki, 3 million recorded dead, but possibly up to 60 million, versus 11-17 mil in the Holocaust. And even then, only 6 million were Jewish. (Quick research, too lazy to find a better source). |

Remember, Jews are also a race . And what was all that rhetoric about? Something about a "MASTER RACE"? Couldn't that have something to do with it? What if god wasn't real in their eyes? Well, they'd still have the ideology surrounding the Ayrian Race and such. If I'm not mistaken that's what they didn't shut up about. |

It wouldn't matter if I knew of them or not. Personal experience is no proof and thus does not cause any knowledge to be gained. I personally experienced my hands melting into books at a book store, water turning into blood in my shower, hearing voices in my head in different languages, and seeing a man in a white robe with a bright light circling his head...point is...I'm psycho. I hallucinate. The difference between me and your average theist is, I hallucinate far more often, but yet I'm willing to admit I am. And personal experience isn't proof of anything. For theists, we have UPG and CPG those two things alone confirm and give us proof that a deity exists. What do you have? neutral I don't know what UPG or CPG is. I'm slow with the acronyms. I know that no one is like me. That was the point I'm trying to make. Also, I was trying to make the point that it's hard for someone outside looking in to tell another person's personal experience from a simply fabrication or hallucination. Personal experience of something is not proof it is real, plain and simple. And what do I have? Solid, empirical, scientific evidence for the things that I know are true or real. |
