Let's see....

Over the time that humanity spoke about god, or a higher being, it's basically about force. So to most people, god is force. Or something that brings miracles threw situations.

I believe, that if I live my days doing good things: It will make my stay better. Sometimes it does, somethings it doesn't, and sometimes I get nothing. Looking back on why I want there to be a god, is so I know where I'll go when I die. And not go burning in eternal sorrow, or fade away into nothingness.

I know I sound kind of story book, but if you think about it: It's true.

Wow something that makes sense trying to prove god is real... Kay then I like it.

Arguing about believing god is pretty pointless. There's no proof on both sides.

Also athiests believe in something called "logic, evidence"

religious people believe in something called "faith"

So when you argue with eachother, it's like arguing with someone who speaks a completely different language and thinking process then you. It's going to go absolutely no where.

God is just an imaginary figure that people need to blame their problems on. Without this so called "god" this world might actually be close to perfect because people wouldn't say that no one is perfect but god because he does not exist. Even if he is real why would he let humans make mistakes and let them die? And if he does want us to learn from our mistakes why doesn't he teach them to those who haven't? And religions are another form of war but if god was not "real" then religions would most likely dissapear bringing this world into a sanctuary for all humans and not chaos. I think that without "god" this world would be very much better off...

AND WHY DID MY THREAD GET MOVED! WHO REPORTED IT! WHY WOULD YOU DO NOT ITS NOT MESSING WITH YOU!

Why would you object to it being moved to M&R? I mean, it's a different audience but it's not going to end the discussion or anything.

People would still say no one's perfect. We would still have the concept of perfection, but no definite figure to call perfect.

He would let humans make mistakes because he gave free will. And if we don't all learn from our mistakes, then why should he intervene? I imagine he'd be rather busy if he did that. Those who don't learn from their mistakes need to figure it out themselves.

I'd like proof on how religions are the cause of all war. Certainly, they have been caused by the people of a religion, but it's just the people. Most religions, as far as I know, advocate peace.

We would still have plenty of conflict without religion. Territory conflicts, fights over power, government (like the Cold War), and hate (American Civil War) are causes of conflict. Neither of the World Wars were caused by religion, either.

If I would ask you: "Is there a way to the sun without going through its light?" - How would you respond?

No, but there is likewise no way of getting to the sun going through its light. You would be consumed by the massive amount of heat put out by the sun long before you got near it.
Not to mention the solar radiation.

Anton Hofman
Common knowledge is that light is symbollic of knowledge.

Light is symbolic of ignorance.
Light is symbolic of fanaticism.

Anton Hofman
We refer to the dark ages because knowledge was lacking - or we want someone to throw light on a subject we are not familiar with.

No. We refer to them as the dark ages because we have little to no history on them.

Anton Hofman
Thus without the sun - nothing!!! - With the sun everything is possible!!!

Then, please, explain why of the millions of catalogued stars, a mere handful of them have planetary wobbles indicating they could have planets?

Anton Hofman
The sun is therefore incomprehensible in its working - just like God.

You're wrong. The sun is completely comprehensible in it's working.

Anton Hofman
Sunlight is the sun's 'offspring'.

No. Sunlight is not the sun's offspring.

Anton Hofman
The Bible is the only book that identifies with this truth.

Where do you people get this notion? The Bible is not the only book to identify truth with light, God(s) with light, truth with the sun or God(s) with the sun.
You people lie so frequently in your rabid blind attempt to convert the ignorant.

Wait...
What?

Seriously? World War 2 was fought because who was Christian? Says who? Loved them more than who, the other members of the exact same religious tradition?

...who are "they"? If you're talking about Hitler putting Jews in camps, you need to learn more history. Other minorities, such as homosexuals and cripples, were also killed. And the camps weren't the sole reason. Stalin killed more people, and he supported atheism (because he'd rather have people worship him than God). Japan didn't have any problem with religion, just fascism. The US ended up bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Germany passed through neutral Belgium to get to France, causing Britain to attack in their defense. Why would Germany attack France because of religion? Hint: They didn't.

A couple of points

1) Japan -They'd been persecuting Christians for centuries and Shinto was used a marketing tool for the governments nationalist agenda. You'd be over extending yourself to say they didnt have a problem with relgion.

2) Great Britain and France gave Germany an ultimatum, demanding they withdraw from Poland. Both then declared war when these demands were not met by the determined time.

How do you know of Mystere's personal experiences?

It wouldn't matter if I knew of them or not. Personal experience is no proof and thus does not cause any knowledge to be gained. I personally experienced my hands melting into books at a book store, water turning into blood in my shower, hearing voices in my head in different languages, and seeing a man in a white robe with a bright light circling his head...point is...I'm psycho. I hallucinate. The difference between me and your average theist is, I hallucinate far more often, but yet I'm willing to admit I am. And personal experience isn't proof of anything.
