Sad. The tomb of Jonah was desecrated today, and the unmarried women of Mosul are being taken for sex slavery in the name of Jihad. Churches are being burned, nuns and other christian women are being sold into sex slavery (or "married" to muslim men, if you prefer) and christians are being crucified again.

I was in Mosul. It was a beautiful place in it's own way, with a deep, rich history. And now once again men are destroying artifacts older than their religion. World Treasures are being destroyed to shouts of "Allahu Akbar". As Sharia takes hold, the age of consent becomes nine years old for girls, and they are all expected to be married by the age of 13.

And it's not *just* islam. But it sure doesn't *help*.

ISIL is entirely different from Islam. Please don't converge the two together. Islam is one thing, while a group such as ISIL is another.

Also, the age of Aisha is debatable. Some scholars say she was 25 when got married and others state other things. Moreover, Aisha never had children with Muhammad. Moreover, marriage with children was also practiced in Western Europe, but these children had not come of age yet. In hotter countries, women menstruate quicker and the live span of people during this span was shorter. So being married at that age was natural. In addition, if the prophet did marry it was to establish ties with tribes that would prove to be crucial in the spread of Islam across the region. Remove this hatred you have of what Muslims have done in the name of Islam and examine Islam by itself. Muhammad did not "take her" she was offered by her father and Aisha loved Muhammad. She was respected and was loved the most by him, and they NEVER had children. So he did not abuse her!!!

The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.

If you wish to believe in Islam, please be proactively denouncing the radicals. Christians actively denounce Westboro on their Facebooks and such. Please do the same.
