The only place that bible mentions a firey torment is with the illustration of Lazerus and the Rich Man,...

other than that it states that the soul is concious of nothing at all....meaning that how can a sould be tourmented eternally when it isn't concious....

I don't believe in hell..it goes against everything the bible says about God being a loving and caring God.

I agree because we just can't believe in some things the bible says...like how god has always been there. There has to be a beginning if there is to be anything..u kno?

no one is born evil, they are made evil by what is around them and what they experience. no one can be blamed for what happens to them, so they should not go to hell

I believe Hell is the place everyone is heading from birth. Adam & Eve damned themselves and in so doing damned all their future children as well. God stepped in and gave us a way out, even after all that they and we have done.
In the garden the only punishment God makes is banishing them and making child birth painfull for Eve and her daughters. Having the option to escape the inevitability of Hell is God's forgiveness.

I think hell is self-created. If you don't truly repent for a crime in life, it comes back to you after you die, it's your conscience catching up with you. God forgave you already, you have to be truly sorry and forgive your self.

There is a hell because we co-exist with sin, and sin can't enter heaven.

It is true that you must ask for forgiveness from your heart, but compared to the cost God paid, it's really a small piece of the bid picture.

We must face our own trials in order to get to heaven. The devil is a fallen angel that did sin because God allowed it, he allowed everything to happen that did and there is a purpose to it. God gives us free will, and the devil does influence us a majority of the time, temptation, illness, if it happens God allowed it. I know you're thinking "so god allows people to get raped? he allows people to die horrible deaths?". He mourns for these things, but it leads to my main point, everything happens for a purpose, trust me, experience has taken me to places some couldn't comprehend.
