I was raised Christian by my parents but they let me keep an open mind. But, I was also taught by a surprisingly large amount of Jewish teachers that left a great impression on me. Though, I was never able to accept the "god" that lived in Christian/Catholic faith. And, I couldn't bring myself to pray to a prophet. Through my life I had picked up many strong beliefs and I had had a hard time matching them up to religion.
Eventually I found out about Deism. It was so amazingly close to my beliefs I was startled. Of course, I still retain other tid-bits of morals and thoughts I had picked up from other religions and cultures. Pacifism, forgiveness, 'circumstantial' karma (Non-reincarnation based,) and others.
