I believe God has no one set gender. God can be male, female, both, none, or maybe a gender we don't even know of. Besides, it doesn't matter, considering God doesn't reproduce...

Let us assume that the Diety should be named after either one or the other sexes. If this diety were male it would be God and if female it would be Goddess but due to Adam being created in the Image of God and Eve in the image of Adam it would make logical sense to assume God should be depicted as Male.

I am not Christian however thus I would not know enough to make a good report outside of that linear logic proposed.

Many of the books of the three abrahamic faiths were written at a time when there was a male dominated society. I personaly beileve that God has no gender and that we cand refer to him/her in whatever gender we feel fits.

Both the English AND Hebrew bibles use "He" to represent God. Proof: The first four words in the Hebrew Bible is Bereshith bara Elohim, which mean "In a beginning God created". If GOd were female however, it would say "Bereshith barat Elohim" instead of "Bara Elohim". Since there is no "T" at the end of "bara", God is male. In Hebrew all verbs done by females end with the letter T. God is male.

"He" is used as a convienient pronoun for God, since "it" lacks a "living" or respectful quality (this, and some bias towards men, hardly meant as an "I'm better than you" message in most cases at the time, in ancient culture, thus choosing "He" as the pronoun and not "She" wink . In reality, although men may have been designed closer to what God is if we're to take Genesis literally-word-by-word since they were created first, it's not likely God has anything which we could tack on as a sex at all. God is clearly treated as though He were male though, if only for simplicity's sake, as I explained before.

I hardly think women to be incapable of violence, jealousy, etc. The average teenage girl, for instance, no offense meant ladies, has a fair share of drama in her life, not unlike us but oftentimes in a different manner than men.

I'm in agreement here. We can be just as big a set of utter bastards as guys can. It's all a matter of watching for it. Sometimes girls can be a bit more subtle about it than guys.
