Do you believe in a divine force that has your entire life planned out for you? Do you believe that if you were meant to die, then theres nothing you can do about it because its your fate? Or, do you belive that every living thing has a choice, that things happen becuase we push them in that direction ourselves?
Personally, I believe that humans have a choice to some extent, though, I cant excatly rule out the idea that there is something somewhere that does have an impact in our lives.

Of course not. It's an absurd concept. The idea that people can seriously consider it is a frightening one.

This is a little more accurate, but it's phrased in a misleading way.

You seem to be attaching something special to choice, as though it was some concept that is particularly meaningful somehow. And this clearly isn't true.

A better way to say it is just "Sometimes we make stuff happen, sometimes stuff just happens."

Actually, Nature tends to the least amount of energy with the most amount of disorder. However, the most important of the two (less energy/disorder) for nature is the least amount of energy possible. So if there is less energy in keeping nature in order, nature will be in order, and vice versa.

Not e verything we do is free choice, death and birth are two examples, we all die, and we are all born. Now, what about someone who gets born who didn't want to be born? Or what about when people die? do you want to die? or do you accept it as a consequence of living?

Life is full of consequences, nothing else. In physics, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, this too happens in life. We may think we have a choice, but really we are a acting the way the electrical impulses/chemical reactions in the brain are telling us to.

I believe that the doctrine of free will/choice is incoherent, and meaningless. A syntactic engine behaving like a semantic engine (as Dennett so neatly puts it wink ) will give the illusion of free will, without actually having it.

First, of course, I would like someone to define free will.

You do realize that if in fact there is no ability to choose one's actions, that is, if they are determined by forces and influences not of our own conciousness, then the entire field of law becomes null.
