Welcome to Gaia! ::

i'm muslim and I believe in Jesus of course. i believe he was a great prophet but i would never pray directly to him. i pray to his and my creator.

so my question to chirstians is why do you pray to Jesus? why pray to the creation instead of the creator?

i have seen this many times and it confuses me. even before i was muslim it was confusing.

and i would like real answers please.

The fact that Jesus was also clearly a supposedly-Jewish middle eastern man and how many Christians are also mildly racist or afraid of the Islamic culture is beyond
my understanding
people want someone to blame. it has been happening forever. its not right but until it is more understood and the stupid "muslim" terrorists (who just happen to not follow some of the biggest rules in islam like not hurting Innocent people) stop, its going to continue. Which is sad.

Trinitarians believe Jesus is God in the flesh, therefore, they pray to Jesus. Unitarians don't pray to Jesus. They agree with Jesus when he said Sh'ma' Yis'ra'el YHWH 'eloheynu YHWH 'echad, and when he said, "Your father and my father, your god and my god".
Jesus in the son of God but also part of God...

He's suppose to know the temptations of the world and know how we humans suffer, since he lived on earth and "died for our sins"

where in the bible does it say that? and how can he be the son of god and part of god when he died?

also god would know our sins because he created us.

but then why do you still pray to jesus, when in what you are saying you could just pray to god and it be the same thing.

"The Christian doctrine of the Trinity defines God as three divine persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are distinct yet coexist in unity, and are co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial. Put another way, the three persons of the Trinity are of one being. The Trinity is considered to be a mystery of Christian faith."

God was the creator, yes, Jesus however, lived the life of the humans, knew how hard it was to resist the temptations set in by "the enemy."
Jesus was sent to earth to illuminate people into the faith, believers etc...
He became the link between God and the church, he created a following and a set of beliefs...

Most Christians actually believe that Jesus WAS God, or one of the "Holy Trinity" or something like that...it never really made sense to me, so I'm probably not the best person to ask for details...I mean I KNOW the details, I just don't understand them.
I don't have all the answers....

Have you tried reading the bible?

Yeah the bible tends to do that if you read it without "faith goggles", meaning you're willing to question things and not take it at face value.

Yeah, I know, it's hard to understand. I've been a Christian my whole life and I feel shameful because I don't know how to answer your question. For me everything simply was like that, no questions asked.

Anyway,
If you really want to know the answer, good answers, maybe you can ask a preacher or someone who has some knowledge of the bible.

My father could answer all your questions...but I can't =
