It's not a US only game. Facebook games, in general, get a lot of their players from countries other than the US.

It just means that the servers aren't working properly right now.

Don't worry. I live in the USA and I haven't been able to load the game for a couple of months. It just gets stuck on the loading page. =) I'm sure it's just a glitch/bug of some kind. They'll get it sorted. <3
