Issue with Regen shield

Ok so I'm just curious how many of you have had an issue with the regeneration shield not working and thus making you die in the middle of a very important battle. I've recently transferred from facebook, and I have to redo a few quests like capturing Momo and such, and my lvl 24 Unitaur had an epic fail because the regeneration shield didn't work after applying it 3 times.

Some abilities don't always work 100% of the time. Also some abilities are just bugged garbage like Disease and only have an opportunity to work twice at max per usage.
