Let me first say, I love Monster Galaxy. It's the best thing since Pokemon. However, and this more of a rant than anything but I feel the need to say it, I feel cheated.

1) Why spend $500 on a chance thing? It's ridiculous. And I say $500 because a little adds up QUICK. Especially for those who are trying desperately to get them all rather than progress through the story line. Kinda like how people will skip taxes/bills just to play Farmville. I understand that companies are trying to make money. And that's fine, but there's other ways--more subtle ones anyway--in going about it. Heck, you could sell monsters for 5,000 gold coins you can get in-game or something.

2) Why in the world does it take 20 monsters of the same kind to evolve AND require Evolution Potions? (e.g. Dihno. It takes 3 Dihno + 2 Potions to evolve) Personally, I think you should only evolve them via levels (like every 10-20 or something) because why else hack and slash for days to level them up? The potions should be for those who refuse to wait or eliminated altogether.

3) Why in the world is the capture rate 5% when the monster HP is 1? I could blow the computer screen and they'll die. Shouldn't it be at least 75%? It's bad enough it takes 50 Starseeds just to capture the thing while trying to stay alive and not kill the bugger at the same time.

There's probably more but this is what aggrivates me the most. Other than that, I like it. I will continue to play. Perhaps not as often as I would like. But hey....Anyway, love me, hate me. I've said my peace and feel a little better now.

There is nothing stopping you catch a moga before you get it in the quest(if thats what you mean), just catch what you want then when you get the quest catch it again then get rid of it. and the chance is for the galactic which you cant get in the wild, yes you can get other mogas but thats what its for.

I dont see a problem with the percentage rate.
The game is not supposed to be so easy you are able to do things instantly. It will take away all challange.
Trust me once you have the mogas you want it can become very boring, all you can do is level up.

You dont need to get the mogas down to 1hp, just till it gets to its highest pecentage rate.

Percentages:

Training -100%
Beginner - 99%
Common - 59%
Uncommon - 39%
Rare - 29%
Super Rare - 19%
Epic - 9%
Legendary - 4%

So just stop attacking when it gets the the top percentage. Then there is less chance of killing it.
Yes sometimes it can alot of seeds, like for me Hanzo and Azurel...But remember you can catch mogas what ever the rarity with one starseed. Just luck really.

Of course you don't. You probably got money out of the wazoo and pay cash for all of yours unlike most hard working players who try to play legit and not use cash as much as possible or, if you're a kid, you're probably using your parents credit cards. My point being, percentage should be based on HP left and anything affecting it such as lower defenses or whatever and the level. Using Pokemon for example, I can catch a Mew after using perhaps 15 Ultra Balls after weakening it down to 5 HP or less and with a stat affliction. By those percentages you just gave me, it's not even balanced properly. Sure it should be challanging but all it really does is aggrivate players who normally enjoy it to not want to play anymore. It's almost becoming like FarmVille.

And in video games, there really is no such thing as luck. It's all mathmatical formulas, I know because I help build video games, and I see a massive flaw in it. I'd rather not do the math at this point. It'll just go over people's heads--non math-savvy people anyway. Plus, luck is just a disguise term. I've played all kinds of video games long enough to know that much. I don't mind using 5 or even 10 starseeds. After that, then it's just ticking me off. Plus you even ignored the other parts of my rant. Which shows me that what I say is true. It does cheat. Now if you'll just admit it......

Im_Sista_Souljah: Thank you. It took me 6 years to make it. And you're right. That IS cheating. And I've had that happen to me before. A part of the reason why I felt the need to rant.

I agree paying for something and not getting it is not right, did you send a ticket? that hasn't happened to everyone, it wasnt on purpose. The chance can be fustrating, i was not a case of i didnt agree with the chance thing i was just focusing on one i didnt have a problem with, i thought it might help you a bit.
luck may have been the wrong word actually its not really, you can get a legendary with 1 seed no maths is needed because if it was 50% its still could take 10 or 1 theres just no guarantee of anything, with the evolving i just wanted the moga that you evolved to get stronger not turn into something else, but able to turn into something aswell, i love tippy but its a rare tank, i think there is no harm in tweeking the amount you need to catch for the higher rarity mogas. the problem with this game is that they dont finish anything, thats what i hate about this other games things evolve into something bigger but here they seem to be incapable of finishing a basic construction, e.g Spiral Cave and the Tower. they even had a pre view of SC but they still didnt put it out, they have now neglected the game.
I have not payed a penny to capture any moga. I do have a galactic, i used offers.

Monster Galaxy =/= Pokemon.

It's ridiculous for you to expect Gaia to rip off the Pokemon games just to satisfy your expectations. And it's even more ridiculous for you to complain that it's impossible to do anything in this game because you don't seem to understand that this is a social game/think that only rich people can get anything done in it.

If you help out your friends, they should help you out. If they're not, add more friends that will. That's what makes this game a social game, and in that way, it's exactly like Farmville minus the babysitting.

Sometimes you'll find Moga Cash after a battle, so it's not like the game developers are being tightwads and demanding that you pay or die. They haven't put in any quests so far that require that you have Moga Cash to progress. Nobody said you had to pay any money to play the game. Yeah, paying for it does make the game easier, but it's a bit like using an Action Replay in Pokemon to get unlimited Master Balls or automatic capture to collect all the Pokemon. It's not as fun or as challenging.

Saying that the game doesn't involve luck simply because almighty math is involved is also ridiculous. It'd be more accurate to say that it's chance instead of luck, because most people talk about luck like it's some mysterious invisible force that can alter the outcome of something. The results of the formulas change depending on the numbers put into them, and since a player has no control over how the formula eventually plays out, it's actually chance. It's the same as going into a casino and dropping a quarter into a slot machine. The machine is controlled by an RNG, and when you pull the handle, you're telling the machine to pick certain numbers that correspond to different parts of the reels. Whether you get a payout or not depends on the exact fraction of a second that you finish pulling the handle. That's chance as well.

Also, nobody cares about whether you caught a Mew with 15 Ultra balls or whether you're a game developer. That has nothing to do with your dissatisfaction with Monster Galaxy. Again, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING, so thinking that the capture rates should work in the same way is ridiculous.

tl;dr - Your complaints are ridiculous because your expectations are ridiculous. NOBODY CARES!

I'm going to have call BS on you not paying a penny on the game. If you used those point cards, you're still using real cash. You just don't see the cash. Besides 4% is impossible even for Pokemon standards. And the developers did real math and put some actual thought into it. IAnd it doesn't help. Get them to stop cheating and demanding the impossible. That'll help.

As for the ticket, he (or she?) can put in a ticket after ticket until his fingers fall off and they won't do a bloody thing. The developers on FB and even on forums don't say a word unless you're doing something wrong/illegal. All they say is "Yeah yeah. We've taken note of it." Do they do anything about it? No. I've seen it before. Had it happen before.

You think this is bad? rofl You should check out Digimon Battle Online's catch rate. Rumored to be a whopping 0.01% catch rate when you try to tame the little buggers. Even then, it is still perfectly possible to 'tame' the digimon without buying nets and I've managed to catch a full team without buying their nets on there.

P.S Some Legendary Catch rates in POKEMON are as low as 0.83% (83/10000) even when they only have 1 hp.
PKMNCatchRate formula and Calculator
Use Mewtwo or Giratina if you'd like to test this, without status effects or ball type.

P.P.S Mew actually has a rather high capture rate of about 20% (20/100) when down to 1hp. So if you lower its hp to 1 and use more than 3 ultra balls, then you're just having "bad luck" as it were, because mathematically you 'should' have it by the third ball, as ultra balls have double catchrate of a pokeball. So, using a pokemon like Giratina or Mewtwo/roaming legendaries would've been more appropriate for your example. <__< In which case, those pokemon with the lowest rates, have been known to take hundreds of balls unless you freeze them and use ultra balls. Then it takes 'bout 20.

P.P.P.S Try killing high level mogas for starseeds..and have you finished all of the quests? Why are you rushing? I will, however, completely agree that the evolution requirements are retarded/weird.

P.P.P.P.S If you're going to rant, at least know what you're ranting about and make sure you have the correct formulas+ideas. ninja

I have not payed a penny for the game YOU DO NOT NEED IT!
you can catch mogas in the wild at 4% its not impossible at all, i have caught one with 1 seed and often no more than 10-15. I have all legendarys on the map just without using money.
if you have played for quite a while you do end up with the mogas you wanted to catch, you do not need to spend a penny.
The only thing i have used Moga Cash for is to get the galactic, and that was completing offers. Never have i wasted Moga Cash on getting a master seed to catch a wild moga, simply because i knew i would catch it at some point and i did.
And what are point cards?

Do you see EVERYBODY ranting that they are forced to pay to get a moga in the game?

i find it hard to believe that there is anybody stupid enough to pay that much money on a game, or any at all really, especially when there are other ways to get gaia cash to convert to moga cash without paying a dime (points to the cash tree). seriously, some videos give you as much as 10-20 gcash; save up long enough and you'll have enough to convert to a ton of moga cash if you're really hell-bent on buying master starseeds/CIs/whatever (or just do a ton of world battles for free moga cash)

if YOU payed anything on this game, just... wow emotion_facepalm

and btw, catching epics and legendaries is not that hard. at the most, it only takes about 20 to catch a legendary, a little over a dozen for epics. if it takes any more than the percentage / 100 (for example, 4% chance on legendaries divided by 100 is 25) starseeds, leave the match, come back and try again. it is possible to catch legendaries in one SS, i've done it twice. you just have to be patient.

1) It's your money (or your parents). You use it how you will. I have never spent money on stuff like this (except for 10€ for GCash in the 8 years I've been here) because I know how stupid it is in the long run, I've known from the start that what I would put money on is very vague and only virtual. Know your business, do your homework before you charge into something. I'm very glad that real money is not a necessity in this game and especially in the whole Gaia.

2) I like this idea and it wouldn't be MoGa without it. I have no trouble having Potions, I even have way too much of them, so I don't find the problem.

3) I think if the higher the Moga status (Legendary etc) the less capture rate it should be. It's like Pokemon, you can't catch one with 75% because that would make it as weak as the Common ones. I agree that spending 50 Starseeds is a waste on the 7% moga but why are you playing this game then? I'm fairly adjusted to the technique of the game and there are some things I don't like and some things I do.

I don't think these are the big problems that MoGa has been suffering from. More likely I wonder, why change the game so much? Why do you play it if you are so aggravated with it? It wouldn't be the same game to play then? Also, way too easy. Are you used to being handed things? Is that it?
