What is the actual % chanse of catching a monster?

Melchior Ruper Rare -> 17% chanse of succes.. wasted 20 seeds.. no luck

If it would realy be 17% than he should be trapped in 8 seeds..

The percentage rate depends on the monster's rarity and therefore does not change:
Legendary - 4%, Epic - 9%, Super Rare - 19%, Rare - 29%, Uncommon - 39%, Common - 59%, Beginner - 98%, Training - 100%.
It's also about luck, there are bad days and good ones. I suggest you ration your starseeds.
