Here is the problem with trading....say we move onto stage two of the game and they change up all the starter moga because the released all the old ones into the wild. well now that we can trade, ill just make a new account and add myself to my main account and select a moga not there and give it to myself. rinse and repeat and now i have all the moga's.

for a collecting game on facebook, the main problem is dishonesty and bad players. it would be exploited in a day and just ruin the game.

IP address watching is done by other sites to cut back on multi-account cheaters. However, Gaia doesn't appear to be interested in regulating such things; see zOMG! rings. They felt buying CL 10.0 rings on the MP was not in the spirit of the game. Being able to acquire LE Mogas without the use of FB coins seems important, but I don't know how it could work. Perhaps paying a nominal fee to enter a Marketplace might work.

See even that itself creates a problem. Say my friend is over and i send her/him something, ummm seeds...or a moga? you know, whatever. well then i log off so they can log in, and now the system may think i'm cheating. So now you just created a problem for honest players.

Am I trying to be all against trading, no. BUT you have to think of every feasible problem that can occur before you implement something like that into a facebook app game, because you can't create loopholes for cheaters.Yet at the same time you can't make the game troublesome for your honest players. It's one big balancing act.

Proxies would beat that system too easily. However, the pay real money to get a trading pass, would eliminate the desire to use multiple accounts.

Got it. Unfortunately, that is the core of our ego-centric human condition; the inability and lack of desire to see all sides. If Gaia wants to make money, they have to be misleading. If they are out to participate in a labor of love, they'll be eaten alive. Try anything in between and they are only delaying the inevitable.

I can only think of one other way to setup a slightly balanced marketplace and that is to make people earn it. Getting in would have to be hard enough that no one would want to use another account.

I watch all those other FB games float by with constant pay content. People QQ and yet, these items are still being bought. Gaia, I'm sure, wants a piece of that pie.

i agree with the make them earn their way into the market statement maybe hav a certain amount of moga and/or quests finished before u can go? or make it so that u hav to reach the great bazaar biggrin

it may be a good idea, but i think there are some personnes who just use a second account to seek some things out, like capturing black gold without capturing anything again or something like that, i can't explain it very wel.
