And how much LP do you lose, when you do?


If the game feels like you belong in a higher tier, you will earn more then you lose. It may not necessarily boost the amount of LP you gain per win, for example, back in Season 4 I would earn 21 Lp per win, but lose 19 if I lost. This means the server figured that, at my current level of performance, I was in the tier I belonged.

That's quite particular, but from what I know about the MMR system is, if you're losing more then you win. The game thinks you're in the wrong division and is trying to force you to REALLY step up your game to move forward.
