Well, its hard to say the pros and cons since people can be very biased. If you do decide to try it you might wanna ignore the chat, since it might ruin the game for you

You can press tab and click the chat bubbles next to each person on your team to mute them. Or /muteall I think.

Pros: Fast paced, large champ pool, not hugely based on mechanics(depending on who you play)

Cons: community.

i'd recommend looking on youtube "tips for new LoL players" there's a lot of information out there on the web.

Compare to WoW it sucks. c:

But Pros; can get addicting, pretty fun. Free. Not p2w or p2p.
Cons; community (there's a mute button to ignore them), sometimes takes a lot of playing to get any good, rage quits/afks/trolls.
