xD That really wouldn't make much sense to have out of place monsters.
Well at least the cards are guaranteed to be found in some packs.
Ah, so main cards are just really powerful cards.
xD Elemental heroes are awesome though.

What happens if you draw a main card or some other one that requires certain cards
or some sacrifice to summon it and you don't have those cards yet at your disposal?
Does that mean you can't use it until you get those cards?

Yep most of them are but some key cards could be low level monsters with low attack that brings out the main card or adds it to the hand.
Yeah they are. My favorite non fusion Elemental hero is Elemental Hero Sparkman he's a key card for some of the fusions.
For some main cards it does mean you have to wait for the card(s) required to play it. But for other main cards like the Sacred Phoenix she can be played from the hand by sacrificing two monsters without the other card.

So that's how seemingly useless cards can be useful?
At least main cards aren't completely useless without other cards.

A great question I recently picked up an issue of Shonen Jump on the back cover it mentions that it's the 10th anniversary of the game.
