Can't believe you actually counted them sweatdrop do you have one of those electric buzz-things or a newspaper?

I think I'm at about 50 now >_< I don't know where they keep coming from. Should I check my plants?

Well, I killed all I found in the living room, if I see any more, they're from around there.

Unless the ones I thought I'd killed come back alive. Flies seem to have the zombie property.

kitchen: 5
bedroom: 1
living room: 1 (although the one from the bedroom could just have esaped there)

If I don't solve this I might start believing stupid scientific theories like generatio spontana gonk

I found out they were eating one of our plants alive, and laying eggs in the "armpits" of the leaves. We put the plant outside, it's a really nice plant, so I feel sorry for it:

They usually keep circling around lamps or something. So no need to check your plants.

xd I doubt it.. but maybe you should check your trashcans. I think they like that sort of stuff.. make sure you put everything in plastic bags so they can't reach it to lay their eggs in.

Brilliant theory isn't it whee Those old hospitals (pre-steril, washing hands) are a horror to think about.. or those 'streetdentists'

Did you dispose of the eggs (boiling water might do the trick)? And yes poor plant. I never expected flies to do that sort of thing. Then again.. if you've seen the movie The Fly - maybe they do rofl

I don't think boiling the plant may not be so good for the plant. The flies did stop coming after we put the plant outside. Maybe some insecticides could still save it. On internet they speak of other insects infesting this plant, but not flies/maggots. You should see it, what they did to the plant is really gruesome. I'm never tolerating another fly.

Maybe the plant has some sort of scent that attracts flies?

I messed up the code somewhere. Of course I can fix it but I hope it won't take too much time.
