I don't like being on the computer during storms either.
My 9th grade math teacher's son got struck by lightning through his monitor....
So after a story like that I always shut everything down.
And unplug it....

Because a while back we had a damaged power line.
All the electricity in the house went haywire.
I mean, crazy.
Everything blew up after a few minutes of crazy.
The computer too....

We got a new whatever thingy for it, but it still acts strange.

I miss my heated blanket though.... the dial that sets the heat level burned to the point of smoking.....

Responding to the knock, the door gave out a loud groan, almost akin to a giant groaning. As the groaning faded, the door opens creakily inwards and would have continued if not for a head suddenly popping out from within.

Alas, it was not a bodiless head. It was only one of the staff looking out to greet the Trick 'O' Treater.

"Good evening, trick 'o' treater! My, what an imaginative costume you have there!" Cooed the owner of the Moonlight Cavern as she leaned out from inside the door with a bowl of candy in her left hand.

"Let's see what I've got here for you, shall we?" with that, Fay dunk her right hand into the bowl and pulled out a candy wrapped in Shining-colored wrapper. Dropping the candy into sdh's bag, Fay gave a smile and closed the door to the cavern.

As if by luck, the candy dropped into your bag had another candy stuck to it, which meant you had double candy!]]
